Chris was currently sitting on the side of a nearby tree, about 2 kilometers away from the old man, who was still sitting cross-legged in front of the orb of corruption as if what happened more than an hour ago was nothing. It was probably his confidence toward the orb.

"I'll drop one then and see if it works."

Right now, he is trying to figure out how to enchant his longbow. He even asked the cute twins beside him, but they just looked at him in silence. In the end, he just put a drop of liquid on his bow.

With his sneak attack, it will still hit even if you try to parry, block, or dodge using teleportation, all thanks to his talent. And paired with his high perception, he's an extremely deadly sniper. The only saving grace for the target is if it has death immunity abilities.

When he was young, he trained rigorously in sharpshooting. It was one of his favorites during combat practices. So even if it's not a sneak attack, he's still deadly at ranged combat, not to mention he has pretty high dexterity, which greatly helps in accuracy.

After the shining arrow hit, it exploded in a bright flash of light and then vanished completely afterwards, leaving visible cracks on the floating orb.

The girls just nodded at him, looking at him with gratitude. Suddenly, the little girls shone brightly while floating up slowly.

The twins nodded once more, but this time there was sadness in their eyes. They will miss their kind and talkative big brother.

He just looked at them silently until they turned into moats of light. Emptiness suddenly filled his heart. Even though it's just for a short time and they don't even speak, he had fun being with them.

Since the owner of the house is a magician, he has high hopes for more empty books. It annoys him that his magic spells are so weak, so he plans to improve them before he starts his massacre outside the labyrinth.

"Ughh...the hell is that smell?"

"Gak! Man, even the floor is full of dust. Does he not know how to clean?"

Upon opening the door, a foul smell hit his nostrils, making him almost puke. The smell is even worse than a garbage dump. He also slipped because of the dust on the floor. An idea suddenly appeared in his mind, and he didn't think he could clear it out in time.

He put his palm on the floor and thought of looting on his mind. To his delight, it worked.

He sat still for quite a bit to rest. He was mentally tired after all. He also read the journal he got from the house. He had a hint of disgust on his face while reading it.

"Immortality huh? Even if you achieve something like that, with the number of negative karma you have accumulated, death will knock on your door to drag your soul into hell..."

A few minutes after reading the whole journal, he used the recycler to scrap the thing, and he even got a piece of bronze coin from it.

He then started to organize his inventory afterwards, as there were lots of people waiting outside seeking death from him, which he would grant them after upgrading some of his stuff like magic spells and equipment.

"Hehehe... I'm filthy rich!"

He was smiling from ear to ear, seeing all the coins he obtained while doing the quest. Who would've thought that his simple curiosity would lead him to mountains of treasure? Just two legendary bosses have so much wealth that if he didn't see it with his own eyes, even he might not believe it.
