Chapter 11: Sounds like trouble

As Nouflex and Ayanokoji exited the Adventurers Guild, the anticipation of the upcoming mission weighed on their minds. They walked briskly through the city streets, heading towards the Whispering Woods, a dangerous area notorious for its treacherous terrain and formidable creatures.

As they reached the outskirts of the city, Nouflex paused and glanced at Ayanokoji. "Before we proceed, there's something I need to do."

Ayanokoji raised an eyebrow, curious. "What's that?"

Nouflex took a deep breath, focusing on his system. He had completed three significant system missions recently that would've taken him probably months if it wasnt for Lara's intervention, each granting him a valuable reward.

Nouflex focusing on his system interface. He had a B-rank ability spin that he hadn't used yet, and now seemed like the perfect time.

'System, spin the B-rank ability.' Nouflex commanded internally.

A virtual wheel appeared before his eyes, spinning rapidly. It slowed down and eventually stopped, landing on a new ability. Observation Haki from One Piece.

Excitement surged through Nouflex as he realized the potential of this ability. He closed his eyes, concentrating, and felt a wave of awareness spread out from him, allowing him to see and sense everything within a 500 meter radius with remarkable clarity.

Opening his eyes, Nouflex turned to Ayanokoji. "I've just unlocked a new ability, Observation Haki. It allows me to sense everything around me in a 500 meter radius."

Ayanokoji raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "That's impressive. How does it work?"

"It's a type of heightened perception." Nouflex explained. "To train it, I'm going to need to rely on it entirely. Which means…" He reached into his bag and pulled out a black blindfold, similar to the one worn by Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen, he got it from the system as a starter gift pack. He wrapped it around his eyes, securing it tightly.

Ayanokoji watched curiously. "Why the blindfold?"

Nouflex adjusted the blindfold, ensuring it was snug. "By depriving myself of my sight, I can train my Observation Haki to become more acute. It's a way to push my limits and get used to relying on this new ability. The good part is that not only can I see and feel in a very wide range, but I can also feel the intent of people and predict a few seconds in the future."

Ayanokoji nodded thoughtfully. "Makes sense. This is an amazing ability. It's similar to how one might train their other senses when one is taken away. Just be careful not to overextend yourself."

Nouflex smiled. "I appreciate the concern. Now, let's continue. There's something else I need to do before we head deep into the forest."

"System, summon the B-rank character." Nouflex commanded with high pitched voice this time, with his new ability he confirmed that there is no one around them.

A swirling vortex of light appeared before them, shimmering with energy. A figure began to materialize within the vortex, gradually taking shape. When the light faded, a young girl with light brown hair and a somewhat shy demeanor stood before them. She wore a distinctive workshop uniform and carried a big bag for her size on her back.

"Hello..." she greeted with a small smile, bowing slightly. "I'm Ringo Ohoshi, at your service!"

Nouflex nodded, impressed by her presence because he immediately recognized her, her abilities and intellect are extremely valuable for him. After all, she is a prodigious engineer and inventor, and a member of the Seven Prodigies.

She's considered to be the mastermind of her generation and is capable of memorizing blueprints and creating all sorts of technological items on her own. She even have an A.I robot of her own that can mine ores and help her in her creations and inventions.

"Welcome, Ringo. I'm Nouflex, and this is Ayanokoji, my friend and ally."

Ayanokoji gave a polite nod. "Pleasure to meet you, Ringo."

Ringo's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she looked around. "So, where are we, and what are we up to?"

"We're heading to the Whispering Wood." Nouflex explained. "There's a rogue beast terrorizing the area, and we've been tasked with eliminating it. I know that you dont specialize in fighting so I will keep you out of this, but I have other plans for you. Your technology will literally make us rich, of course while trying to not change the world too much."

Ringo grinned, her excitement palpable. "Sounds like fun! I'm ready for anything."

Nouflex appreciated her enthusiasm. "Good to hear. Now, I have one more summon to perform." He closed his eyes, summoning the system once again. "System, summon the A-rank character."

A swirling vortex of light once again appeared before the group, the energy far more intense than the previous summoning. As the light coalesced, a figure began to take shape, a tall and elegant woman with raven black hair having a green hue and striking green eyes.

She wore a green tight form fitting outfit that accentuated her curves and highlighted her alluring figure, above it is a short leather jacket. And above her voluminous chest is a thick diamond chain.

Her appearance was undeniably captivating, exuding both strength and grace. When the light faded completely, the woman stood before them, her expression confident and slightly arrogant.

This was Fubuki, also known as Blizzard of Hell from One Punch Man.

Nouflex took a moment to assess her. Despite her alluring appearance, he knew that Fubuki was a formidable esper with impressive telekinetic powers. While she might not be as powerful as her sister Tatsumaki, she was still a force to be reckoned with. Her abilities included powerful telekinesis, capable of manipulating very heavy objects and creating force fields, as well as a natural talent for leadership.

Fubuki's eyes swept over Nouflex and his companions, her gaze calculating. "So, you're my master, huh?" She said, her tone laced with a mixture of curiosity and superiority.

Nouflex nodded. "Yes, I am. I'm Nouflex, and this is Ayanokoji and Ringo, and we need your assistance with us here."

Fubuki crossed her arms, her expression haughty. "Very well. I suppose it's my duty to assist you. But don't expect me to follow blindly. I have my own standards."

Nouflex smirked, appreciating her straightforwardness. "I wouldn't have it any other way. Your powers and abilities will be invaluable to us."

Fubuki raised an eyebrow. "You're confident. That's good, looks like I have a great master. Very well, but remember, I'm not here to be coddled. I'll do my part, but I expect you to keep up."

Ayanokoji, observing the interaction, and noticing Fubuki's slightly disrespectful demeanor towards his master, he decided it was time to intervene. He knew how to handle someone with her personality, his ability to manipulate others was unparalleled, a result of his perfect techniques and deep understanding of human nature.

He stepped forward, his expression calm and unreadable. "Fubuki." He began, his voice smooth and controlled, "I think there's been a misunderstanding about how we operate."

Fubuki glanced at him, her eyes still holding a hint of defiance. "Oh? And what misunderstanding would that be?"

Ayanokoji held her gaze steadily. "We summoned you because we value your strength and abilities. But strength isn't just about power. It's about how you use that power within a team. Mutual respect is crucial for our success."

Fubuki's eyes narrowed slightly. "I don't need a lecture on respect from someone who barely knows me."

Ayanokoji's expression remained unchanged. "True, I don't know you personally. But I understand people. And I know that true strength includes humility and cooperation. You have incredible power, Fubuki, but without the ability to work with others, that power is limited."

He paused, letting his words sink in before continuing. "Especially when it comes to Nouflex-sama. He actually doesnt really need you, yet he summoned you here to give you a change to shine and prove yourself to him."

Fubuki's eyes flickered with a mixture of curiosity and consideration. She wasn't used to being spoken to in this manner, but there was something compelling about Ayanokoji's calm confidence. She was moved a little bit upon hearing that, did her master really do this for her?. "Is this true, master?"

Nouflex stepped closer, his voice lowering to a more intimate, persuasive tone. "Yes, it is as Ayanokoji said..." Nouflex held Fubuki's hand in a more intimate way making her feel more at security despite her powrs and arrogance, a blush could not help but escape her face.

He actually knows what Fubuki desires, Power! And he shall grant her that. "I know that what you want is power and not being looked down at. You actually want to be independent and not rely on anyone right?" Nouflex said while getting his face even closer to her.

Fubuki face gained an even brighter shade of red as she nodded her head. Nouflex with his new body could be considered at the pinnacle of attractiveness, so Fubuki's reaction to Nouflex's sudden actions was only natural.

"If you become more cooperative and submissive to me I shall grant you that." He said, bringing the temptation into Fubuki's heart.

"A-re you saying the truth?!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah, dont you trust your master?" He gave her a teasing smile. And he was not lying too.

On top of this world having mana granting her new potential to reach. His system had a shop that was locked currently, and he instinctively knew that he could attribute things he buys from the system shop to his summons to make them grow stronger.

"In that case okay, I will be better. Humph!" She looked the other way while harrumphing at Nouflex, but she did not retract her hand from his.

"Good, I expect great things from you Fubuki." Nouflex ruffled her hair saying that, while going back to the middle of the group. And Nouflex could feel that she was sad and disappointed when he stopped rubbing her head although she did not show it at all, he picked that up thanks to his observation haki.

'Looks like even if her personality is quite arrogant and complicated, she is still someone summoned by the system so she naturally is loyal, consider me as her true master and would still die for me, not that im planning to kill her for my plans or something.

Ringo chimed in, her usual enthusiasm evident. "Yay! Now everyone is happy!"

Fubuki gave a slight nod, her expression softening just a touch. "Yeah, guess this works too..."

"Great, now that we are done with this issue, let's complete the mission we took." Nouflex announced.

Ayanokoji explained the mission they had, defeating the rogue monster in the forest, and also gave them the details as they started wandering in the forest, hoping to find this monster.

While strolling round, Nouflex observations haki picked up something not too far away it was apparently a fight between to groups of individuals. And the next moment all of them heard a shout. "HEEEEELP!"

Normally Nouflex would just ignore something like that, he had no obligations to help strangers. But for some reason, he smelled something interesting from this situation. What he smelled was 'An Opportunity'

"Fubuki, I sense a group of merchants being attacked by bandits, go there first and stop them. Also dont kill too many of them." Nouflex gave his first order to Fubuki.

"Alright!" She enthusiastically replied as she flew in the sky using her abilities. it was her first mission from her master so it was natural to be this excited to execute it.

Also the reason why Nouflex was so sure that Fubuki all by herself could defeat them, going as far as to kill them was once again due to his observation haki. Now he could tell how strong a person is by analyzing them. And he knew that these people were child's play for someone like Fubuki.

"Alright guys! Let's go catch up to her." Nouflex said as he fastened his steps.

"Yes!" x2. The duo behind him replied.
