The smell of burnt flesh became unbearable at one point. Frowning, I brought out gas masks and handed them over to the agents around me.
Once the masks were equipped, I turned the engine off and stepped inside the smoking garage.
The water on the ground had already evaporated due to the electricity. Even so, we stepped around the puddles to avoid stepping into the contaminated water.
Eventually, we reached the creature's dried and shattered corpse. A large chunk of its face and chest was missing, as well as everything below the waistline.
Sighing, I looked at the charred corpse nearby... Abraham had sacrificed himself for no apparent reason. Even without him dying like this, we could have taken the creature out... Probably.
"It was his choice to die."
Seeing my frown, Grey commented from the side. I shrugged and decided to move on.
