The forest was normal now.
Slowly trotted to Konnor's group. Everything felt normal before. He could only assume that the weird feeling he got before was from the assassin, who snuck up on him.
His stallion caught up once and for all. Only several minutes had passed, yet it somehow felt like forever. And it wasn't just him that noticed it as well.
He steered the horse over to the side and slowed it down to match their paces. All eyes fell on him in an instant. Konnor gave a nod of approval.
"I was beginning to think you had chickened out seeing how late you were," the man said.
Mel nearly let out a loud snicker as he heard the assumption.
"Of course not. Just a few unexpected things to handle. I hope it's okay."
Konnor nodded.
One of the soldiers chimed in. It was a slightly chubby man with a large brown beard. He sort of reminded him of a bear of some sort.
