Chapter 3

With the upgrade finished I concentrate on my new antennas. With a sudden twitch of all the small antennas I got a complete circular picture of the room and slightly beyond. I focus on the the part of the picture that is beyond the already familiar room and the antennas twitched again tan I got an new picture that shows in the direction of my focus.

Behind the wall were the researcher stands I can see a human before a control panel, a clipboard in hand and glasses on the nose. He stands in an perfect quadratic room that holds a additional table, three chairs, a clock and a door on the farthest wall from my position.

I try to ,,see,, whats beyond the other walls but there is nothing but rock and earth. At least I know that I cant escape through these walls.

My break ends as the next door opens and reveals a big dog with parts of his fur on flames.

Yeah even I got it by now. This is not the same world that I used to live in but it doesn't really change much at the moment.

After the short shock and realization I make my self ready for the oncoming fight.

The dog or wolf growls threateningly at me and begins to circle around me. I crouch to the ground and keep my tail close to my side while keep standing at the same position. Once the wolf is behind me he dashes forward aiming for my left back leg. A slight twitch of my antennas I spin around with a spiked tail aiming for the side of his head.

The wolf surprised by my sudden move, jumps over my tail and dives at me from above. With my claws griping the floor I speed under the falling wolf and bit in his soft unprotected belly. The wolf howls in pain and anger to which the small parts of burning fur begin to expand. I let go of his belly and roll away from him before he got entire engulfed by fire.

That can get troublesome. Now the wolf is blazing with fire from every place of his body and not even a single spot is save to attack. The wolf howls and growls in anger and rage completely forgetting the pain of his wound.

Look like he entered a rage state, I could use that to create an opening and hopefully kill him. I position my body so that my flank is showing to the wolf and my tail is under my body.

This action provoke the wolf enough to storm forward intending to rip me apart. As soon as he reaches me I crouch down to the floor, dodging his bite by hairs breath. With his momentum he trips over me and begins his flight but not before my tail emerges from under me and pierces him on the same location I bit him before.

The wolf lays on the floor and loses a big amount of blood from his wound, also his flames grow weaker and weaker with every second. Once his flames die out and he is on the verge of death I go forward to pierce his brain with my tail.

Ending the life of my enemy once again I feel a powerful urge to devour his body. I resist the urge and analyse the feeling first only to fiend out that lays on the patches of fur from the wolf that were on fire. It most likely has something to do with the energy that allows to upgrade my self.

Stopping the analyse I begin to eat my fallen foe so that nothing was left.

Finishing my meal I feel a powerful burning in my stomach as if it was on fire. I concentrate on the feeling and fiend a little flame in the middle of the new energy, it look like I can gain a new ability with this, if I had to guess it would be fire affinity.

I focus on the flame and will it to become part of me while staying inside of my body. The effect is unexpected but welcomed, I feel a new organ growing next to my heart which then begins to pump a boiling hot liquid trough my veins. Every where the liquid passes it burns of any impurity's and heals damage, its like my body gets refined with every pump of the new organ which I gonna call fire heart from now.

Using the rest of the energy to harden my spikes and strength the muscles on my tail, I finished my upgrading and concentrate my senses on the researcher right in time to see how he looks at the clock and sights.

From his reaction I think that it is soon time to finish but still enough time for a fourth round. Im going to use this to escape this cell, just wait and see.
