Chapter 10 - A Beginners First Step 05

After gaining confidence from her first goblin encounter, Han Se-ah straightened her shoulders and marched forward with a smug expression. She knew that the goblin, the most dangerous monster among the four types I had explained – slime, horned rabbit, horned fox, and goblin – was a one-shot kill.

"Let's go this way this time!"

Goblin, Goblin, Slime, Horned Fox, Slime, Horned Rabbit – surprisingly, she seemed to have the qualities of a warrior who could take them down with a single hit. Even a strong farmer would have to hit the 1st floor monsters two or three times to kill them, but she was diligently hunting them down one by one with stabs of of her staff.

"If you weren't able to be a wizard, you could definitely use a spear."

Two goblin suddenly appeared in the front and one more goblin appeared from behind.

When the first goblin appeared, Han Se-ah confidently walked forward, then another one spawned from the bushes beside her, and while she paused for a moment, another one spawned behind us and began to approach slowly. Even if she could take down a goblin with a couple hits, the tension of being outnumbered 3:1 was inevitable.

"There are three goblins. There are three goblins…. If you each give me a mana stone, I can go back right away."

Despite the calming effect of having me by her side, she took a deep breath to calm herself down. Without thinking of asking for my help, she aimed her staff forward and slowly moved sideways. It seemed like she wanted to face the three goblins head on instead of being surrounded from both sides.

As if adjusted by the player's stats, the wooden stick that was swung with great force struck the closest goblin's forehead. With all her might, she thrust forward, and the goblin in the center turned into a marble as it tumbled backward.

Seeing that, the remaining two goblins rushed in like wild beasts with rocks and wooden clubs in hand.

"Hmm, don't think I'll need to step in."

Although I was ready to intervene by grabbing one or two goblins, Han Se-ah held her own well. The wooden stick that had been stretched out was strongly swung like a baseball bat from right to left, hitting the head of the left goblin who was a bit closer.

As the kicked goblin fell to the ground, the other on the left – having dropped his rock and holding his head in pain – staggered forward. But before he could regain his bearings, Han Se-ah thrust her staff once again, catching him off-guard.

Thunk! Another goblin was reduced to the lowest-grade mana stone.

Lastly, Han Se-ah went to the final goblin, who was lying flat and ended it with one final smack.

Thunk!

"You certainly have good combat sense. However, remember that kicks only work on goblins. When you go up against higher-level opponents, you have to use magic instead of kicks."

"Yes!"

Using the range of the weapon and the difference in physique, she disrupted her opponent's movement and created ample distance multiple times. I'm definitely satisfied with her skills, I know firsthand, real combat is night and day from typing a keyboard and flicking a mouse.
