The skies slowly began to darken under the immense pressure of a golden immortal being whose mood greatly fluctuated when staring toward the lone figure standing in the skies. This figure carried the aura of a mortal...

No, it didn't even reach the level of a mortal as he lacked any presence whatsoever, as if he was present, but not present simultaneously. As if his existence had fused with the void.

But his transcendent appearance made him stand out which was immensely contradictory to the mysterious force that surrounded him. With a long katana in hand, he pointed the sharp and curved blade toward the woman with an arrogant smirk etched onto his face.

"Lowly thing, a mongrel such as yourself, come fight me if you have enough gall... I'd say balls, but you've got none so this is the best-!" Oblivion tried it. This wasn't something he was good at but he tried to anger his opponent greatly.

Buzz!

And it seemed that it worked. Before he could finish his words, the woman's hair flared and fluttered behind her back, raising to the skies as an intensely steaming aura was released into the air as with every second, the space seemed to be burnt by a furnace.

The large flying shuttle under her feet disappeared as her body flickered across space. The thousands of kilometers that separated Oblivion and her were covered in almost an instant as flaming armor appeared, covering her body!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Powerful heatwaves burst into their surroundings as loud explosions occurred wherever the flaming war goddess appeared. The skies seemed to contain hundreds of thousands of mini-stars. In the skies, these stars exploded into oblivion as she sent hundreds of thousands of punches toward Oblivion in a breath's time.

Simultaneously, Oblivion's sword seemed to become countless shadowy images as he parried every attack. Honestly, this would never have been possible on normal occasions. On normal occasions, the flaming goddess of war's attacks would be simply too powerful for Oblivion to hope to parry.

After all, this woman carried the aura of a pinnacle level nine golden immortal, mere inches away from becoming a pseudo-prime immortal. But, under the weakening of Oblivion's natural negation ability, her attacks had become just weak enough for Oblivion to handle.

Oblivion's sword art continued to forcefully be enhanced as he felt a bead of sweat trickle down his skin. His figure disappeared and reappeared hundreds of kilometers away. Though the distance wasn't worth mentioning in front of this war goddess, it was still enough of a distance for a golden immortal-level existence to prepare an attack.

{Sword of Annihilation}

Oblivion waved down his sword in one motion. Toward the incoming war goddess, a stream of silvery light made its way across space. Wherever it went, space was distorted and time seemed to come to a halt. Even though it was merely the attack of a profound immortal, space was unable to heal itself...!

The war goddess only snorted when seeing Oblivion's sword move. In the face of this attack, she cocked back her fist as a large flaming fist then penetrated the winds and made its way toward a sword light in the dead of night...

Boom!

An apocalyptic explosion took place as the war goddess was blown back by the shockwave that took place. The endless lava sea was blown away and opened a massive chasm in the sea. Like with the command to split the seas apart..! The red sea opened.

The flaming war goddess descended from the skies like a falling comet. But, after the descent of a few thousand kilometers, she came to a halt, gaining control over her body. Shockingly enough, there wasn't the slightest wound on her body.

Facing such a powerful attack, it seemed like she didn't face the slightest trouble at all. She smirked coldly as her long hair rose to the skies and her aura fluctuated even more.

"Little brat, is this all the strength you can muster?!" Her voice powerfully reverberated throughout the night skies. "This... If this is the case, you've truly underestimated me... Or at least, you've overestimated your own capabilities!" Saying this, she took on a martial art stance.

{Rising Morning Star}

It seemed normal at first but as soon as her voice landed, her figure blurred... From below, if one was to watch the skies, a rising comet that seemed to go against the will of the heavens rushed toward the lone figure standing there like a god who overlooked all worldly things with utter detachment..!

Oblivion's sword trembled..!

{Sword of Oblivion}

The dark skies turned utterly inky black as it seemed like an abyssal demonic dragon opened its mouth that was larger than ten thousand black holes. A curved sword strike rushed down from the black skies and toward the rising star on flames.

Light Vs Dark..!

The goddess of war snorted once more upon seeing the sword art. From her point of view, there wasn't anything special about such an attack. It was even worse than the previous sword art seeing as that one at least radiated with a mysterious deadly force... With this one now, there wasn't anything, no feeling, no power..!

Her body was on flames as she sent out a punch once more. Tearing apart the space and opening the void, her fist contacted with the dark sword art, and instantly thereafter, like she the goddess of war expected, the sword art shattered under her might.

Bursting through the darkness, she rushed toward Oblivion. Surprisingly, he didn't move even when she rushed toward her as if he had seemingly given up on all hope.

"Humph! Who told you to challenge me-!"

Ah!

But, before she could finish speaking, as she appeared several meters away from Oblivion, her body seemingly lost all control as she rocketed past Oblivion's figure. Her eyes were wide open yet lacked the light of life.

The previous endless lifeforce of flames that she brimmed with disappeared as the flames on her skin dimmed. From a burning star to a dying star, in an instant, her soul was torn apart as she didn't even have the luxury of understanding or comprehending how she had died.

Oblivion's sword shook gently as the light enveloped his body. Disappearing, before his body disappeared, it reappeared in front of the goddess of war's part. Stretching his hand outward, the war goddess's part came to a halt.

Her incredible speed stopped abruptly as her corpse slowly made its way to Oblivion floating in the empty skies several meters away. While this happened, the skies also returned to normal as this battle which hadn't lasted a proper ten seconds came to a halt.

This is how a golden immortal-level fight is... In some instances, these battles end in fractions of seconds..! Oblivion waved his right hand as the body armor of the war goddess disappeared, floating in front of him. He thereafter closed his eyes and entered a state of enlightenment.

The katana swirled around Oblivion's body as it then shot toward the corpse, penetrating through skin and flesh and causing blood to splatter in the skies.

Right after, the escaping blood disappeared and soon, not even a body remained. This demonic little katana trembled in excitement as it returned to Oblivion's palm, its owner's palm, ready to hunt its next meal.

"Let's go..!"

Oblivion, along with the flaming battle armor of the war goddess, was enshrouded by light as he disappeared thereafter.
