Chapter 131– Aftermath

2 days after the incident

As I sat in my room, the weight of recent events heavy on my mind, I couldn't shake the feeling of shock and disbelief. The incident had resulted in tragedy, with lives lost and chaos unleashed upon the city. Norman Osborn's company was in a mess, and he was itching for revenge against the Trio of villains: Monkey King, Vulture, and Hammerhead.

But despite Norman's anger, SHIELD insisted on taking custody of the dangerous trio. Their authority was backed by the support of the Hilton company, leaving Norman with no choice but to begrudgingly comply. Meanwhile, Loe was on break after the chaos that had unfolded at SHIELD. Hearing about what had happened, I understood why he couldn't call me back two days ago.

As for Doctor Octavius, the situation was complicated. While SHIELD wanted to keep him in custody, but Norman insisted he was the only one who could help the tormented scientist. Doctor Octavius was still plagued by agony, and I couldn't shake the feeling that it wont be too long before he turn into a villain. Despite my desire to intervene, I knew that forcing him to come with me would be illegal.

And As for Mark Taylor and Emily Hawkins, they informed me that they had encountered Chameleon but unfortunately, he managed to escape.

Well, that's to be expected. Chameleon is one of Spider-Man's enemies, and that motherfucker is sly as hell. He's quick to change, shifting his appearance and using his surroundings to his advantage. That's how sneaky and sly he is.

I mulled over these thoughts, recognizing the cunning nature of Chameleon and with a sense of resolve, I acknowledged that someday Peter and I would inevitably face Chameleon. It was just a matter of time before our paths crossed with Spider-Man's cunning adversary. But when that day came, we would be ready to confront the cunning trickster and put an end to his schemes once and for all.

Then I talked to the system in my mind, I felt a mix of hope and worry. Wanting to save Doctor Octavius about his predicament.

"System, do you have something that can save Doctor Octavius?" I inquired, my voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Yes, host, I have," the system replied, its tone measured. "But let me tell you, host, that it will affect the events of Spider-Man. You may not be affected by the canon event, but Peter is different; he will be affected."

"Shit," I muttered under my breath, a wave of dread washing over me. "So if it affects the canon event, we don't know what's going to change. It may be worse than this, shit."

The system's response was reassuring but offered little solace. "Don't worry, host. Once you become much stronger to the point where you can change the timeline of a certain universe, then it will be easy for you to disrupt the canon event."

My frustration bubbled to the surface. "Fuck, it will take me 20 or 30 years to be that strong!" I exclaimed, the weight of the task ahead weighing heavily on my shoulders.

Then, a thought occurred to me. "What about Uncle Ben?" I asked the system, remembering the pivotal moment when I altered his fate. "You know that I changed his fate, so what happened in the canon event thingy?"

The system's response was laced with concern. "That's what I've been worried about, host. We don't know what might change in this world when you alter the fate of someone who was supposed to die that day."

My thoughts were all tangled up in worries about what might go wrong. "Fuck, I hope I don't screw things up." I said, feeling a tightness in my chest.

Feeling overwhelmed, I decided to focus on something else. I asked the system in my mind to show me my status.

"System, show me my status" I said, hoping for some clarity amidst all this uncertainty.

The system responded promptly, "Affirmative, host... initiating ding."

[Meanwhile Chameleon side]

As Chameleon processed the news of Spider-Man and Spider-Man Red's strength, a smirk played across his lips. "Hoh, so that's how strong Spider-Man and Spider-Man Red are, huh? Impressive that they managed to defeat all three of them."

But Chameleon knew he couldn't afford to be complacent. "I gotta stay low for now." he muttered to himself, aware of SHIELD's relentless pursuit.

As he contemplated his next move, a plan began to form in Chameleon's mind. "What about that scientist?" he mused in his thought. "I heard that he became something and that cause him to be angry and going crazy. Hmm, interesting."

Turning to the figure beside him, Chameleon addressed him as "Sir Doom." It was none other than Dr. Doom himself, seated regally in a chair as if he owned the place.

Chameleon outlined his plan to redirect attention away from them while they pursued their own goals. "How about we make that scientist wreak havoc towards them?" he proposed. "While we stay low and finish what you intend to finish, Sir."

"Are you referring to one of Norman's scientists who went mad, as our report indicated?" Dr. Doom inquired of Chameleon, seeking clarification on the matter.

Chameleon nodded in agreement. "Yes, sir, that's the one I'm referring to." he confirmed, affirming Dr. Doom's understanding of the situation.

Then Dr. Doom regarded Chameleon with a calculating gaze. "hmm, That's a good plan," he acknowledged. "Okay, proceed with it." His tone was authoritative, leaving no room for doubt.

With Dr. Doom's approval, Chameleon nodded, his mind already turning to the intricacies of their scheme. "Understood, Sir." he replied, his voice laced with determination.

With the plan forming clearly in his mind, Chameleon understood the importance of quick and precise action. "I'll make sure that the scientist will cause chaos when the time is right." he promised Dr. Doom, already thinking about how to carry out their plan.

With a commanding presence, Dr. Doom rose from his seat, his gaze piercing through the room with an intensity that brooked no argument. "Remember, Dimitri," he began, his voice carrying the weight of urgency, "we have no time to spare. Those Fantastic 4 pest are already aware of my plans."

Dr. Doom's words weighed heavily in the room, a clear warning of the danger ahead.

Looking at Chameleon, Dr. Doom's face showed determination.

"That's why we cannot afford to waste another moment." he declared, his tone echoing with unwavering determination.

Chameleon met Dr. Doom's gaze with equal resolve, understanding the gravity of their situation. With the Fantastic 4 closing in, every second was precious, and failure was not an option.

With a silent nod of acknowledgment, Dr. Doom left the room, leaving Chameleon to think about their task.

As Chameleon pondered his next move, a wave of uncertainty washed over him. Releasing the scientist, no matter how formidable, seemed futile against the might of two Spider-Men. Doubt gnawed at him as he considered the overwhelming odds stacked against them.

But then, a spark of inspiration ignited within him. "Oh I know I know," he muttered to himself, a sly grin spreading across his features. "How about Kraven, hmmm"

Recalling his previous dealings with the notorious hunter, Chameleon's smirk widened. "I even told his men to steal weapons from S.H.I.E.L.D back then, and they agreed because I gave them money."

"Well Business is business," he mused, his mind racing with possibilities. "Getting Kraven to fight Spider-Man shouldn't be too hard. Kraven loves a good fight and always seeks out tough opponents. And if there's a possibility that he won't accept my request, then I'll just give him a lot of money to ensure he does!"

With his plan coming together, Chameleon felt excitement bubbling within him. Kraven's love for a good fight and his craving for strong opponents made him an ideal candidate for Chameleon's scheme. And also with the lure of money , Chameleon was sure Kraven would jump at the chance. setting the stage for an epic showdown between hunter, Tentacles, Spider-Mens.

{Meanwhile Fanstastic 4}

As the conversation turned to the looming threat of Dr. Doom, Susan Storm couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency. "What should we do, Reed, about Dr. Doom? You know he has another plan for world domination." she voiced her concerns to her husband.

Reed Richards, being the smart thinker that he is, nodded in agreement. . "Yes, I know. That's why I've been thinking about how to stop Dr. Doom from taking over the world." he explained, his mind already racing with potential strategies.

Johnny Storm, always eager for action, couldn't resist chiming in. "Oh, come on, with my fire powers, I could blast him to kingdom come!" he exclaimed, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. With a dramatic flourish, he ignited his iconic catchphrase, "Flame on!"

Ben Grimm, affectionately known as "The Thing," couldn't help but roll his eyes at Johnny's bravado. "Oh, come on, Johnny, don't play with fire." he chided his hot-headed friend, his gruff voice tinged with amusement.

"Shut up, Rocky," Johnny shot back, his playful banter masking the seriousness of the situation.

Susan sighed, accustomed to her teammates' antics. "These fools." she muttered under her breath, a mixture of exasperation and fondness in her tone.

As they continued to brainstorm, Susan knew that Dr. Doom's relentless ambition posed a grave threat. She realized with each passing moment that his next move could be even worse than before. Despite the challenges ahead, she remained hopeful that their team's special bond would be their best weapon against Dr. Doom's looming threat.
