Chapter 6: New Relationship

"If something is bothering you, just tell me." She said warmly.

"It's just... The way you're dressed is a bit... Revealing." He said hesitantly. She flashed a smile for a moment.

"Is that so?" She asked. "Then I should probably..." She paused for a moment as she brought her hands to her shirt buttons. "Change." She said seductively as she undid a button.

'Wait, wait, wait, wait. What the hell is happening!?' Gray thought to himself as he saw Ms. Adler begin to slowly unbutton her shirt.

"Y'know, I was wondering if you'd ever notice." She said as finished unbuttoning her shirt, revealing her bra. She put her hand on Gray's chest and began to push him back slightly. She continued until he was against the door, then put her knee between his legs.

"W-what do you mean?" Gray asked nervously.

"Every day since the semester started, I've been wearing something more and more revealing, something sexier. It was all for you." She said as she leaned in close, then kissed him.

"M-Ms. Adler... I don't think this is the place..." Gray said.

"Do you not want me?" She asked.

"Th-that's... That's not it... It's just... There is still staff around and such..." Gray said. 'The hell am I saying!? That it'd be okay if it wasn't here!?' Gray wondered to himself in confusion. She smiled.

"I see. Let's take this to my place." She said as she buttoned her shirt back up. Gray nodded hesitantly.

'This is very illegal... If we got caught...' He thought to himself as Ms. Adler disengaged from his body and got her stuff ready.

"Text your parents that you'll be studying at someone's house and you'll probably stay the night." She said.

"N-no need... My parents don't mind if I stay at someone else's place for a few days or longer, they barely notice, really." He said.

"Really, and here I was thinking they were normal." She said with a chuckle.

"Well... We just don't interact with each other as much as we used to is all. I'm a teenager, after all." Gray said.

"I guess that's a fair point. Teens will do what teens do." She said. "Alright, I'm ready, get your backpack and we'll go to my car." She said. Gray nodded and grabbed his backpack, then followed her to her car. They entered.

"So, when you held me after class, that was..." Gray said as he trailed off and they pulled out of the parking space.

"I wanted to get closer to you. I wanted to know you, talk to you..." She said, then paused. "After the first couple of days, I knew I wanted you. Of course, I won't keep you to myself. What we're doing is... Well, questionable at best, after all." She said.

"And if I said I wanted a harem?" Gray asked. She laughed.

"I'd help." She said.

"But why? This goes against all logical reasoning I could possibly be aware of." Gray said. She bobbed her head a bit as if considering something.

"Well..." She said as she paused, looking for the right words. "You're a special person." She said.

"That's vague..." Gray said.

"I know... It's just hard to explain." She said.

"Well, at least try, please." He said.

"Well... Alright. But, keep in mind, it'll be hard to believe." She said as she considered her words for a moment. "In our world there exists beings of immense power. Gods, if you will." She started to explain.

'Like that goddess that forced me into my current situation...' Gray thought to himself.

"These gods each have their own universes that they created, but none of them created Earth. It just existed before them, so they see it as neutral territory, now, every once in a while, someone on Earth will be born with..." She trailed as she looked for the right words.

'Well, I am inclined to believe her after what I went through... I wonder if I should tell her about it...' He wondered.

"They'll be born with a gift. A spiritual lineage. This spiritual lineage will appear randomly but can also be passed through bloodlines, which is where we got the most ancient royal bloodlines." She continued explaining.

"Right, and this relates to me how?" Gray asked.

"You have a spiritual lineage. It's new, but it's there. I decided that I want to protect your lineage, which also entails having your children and ensuring you have plenty of offspring." She explained.

"And what does this... Spiritual lineage do?" He asked.

"It allows you to... Well... Speak with the gods... Depending on how powerful it is, you can do it more often, or even willingly. But most importantly, it gives you potential... Potential to become a god yourself." She told him.

"And you know about this... How?" He asked.

"Well... That one is certainly less complicated bu-" She paused mid-sentence. "Wait, you believe me?" She asked. He nodded.

"I do. I'm hesitant to tell you why, but I believe you." He said.

"Well... Alright... Then I see no reason to hide it..." She said then gulped. "I... Come from a long line of protectors. We find people with spiritual lineages that are new and decide whether or not we will devote ourselves to them, if we do, then we protect them as well as their lineage. I will say now, we aren't literally called protectors, but it was the easiest word I could use to explain it." She explained.

"I see." Gray said. 'I take it I'm a pawn to that goddess because of this lineage.' He thought to himself. "So, is there some kind of ritual, or something?" Gray asked.

"It's performed in bed... Upon losing my virginity, I become loyal to whoever I lost it to. There's a binding process that is visible to us protectors and those with spiritual lineages." She said.

"Okay, I think I understand, then. At least, kinda, anyway." Gray said. Ms. Adler nodded.

"My name's Rayne, by the way." She said.

"Good to know..." He said.
