Chapter 22 This Home's No Longer Bearable!

In recent years, society has paid increasing attention to issues such as parental child abuse, foster families defrauding subsidies, and school bullying. Naturally, local police forces have had to take action. As part of this initiative, the General Affairs Department of the Hirarano Police Station's Public Relations Division launched the "Little Vigilante Program," which is currently being piloted in the city.

The idea behind the project is rather good. Many young children, especially the introverted ones, even if bullied, abused, or injured, do not dare tell their teachers, let alone realize that they can report such things to the police. Adults sometimes have a hard time noticing signs of these incidents, but peers are different.

Classmates who go to school together or friends who play together can easily spot abnormal bruises and injuries on someone. Those sensitive child victims often describe their misfortunes to friends without feeling burdened.
