Commented: "The ancient lineage is showing signs of recovery. If we can find a miracle, we may be able to get out of this situation."
Baelon looked at the panel and pondered for a moment.
"The ancient bloodline..."
Baelon murmured softly, "Did the origin of blood and fire inspire the true blood of the dragon?"
Forget it, don't waste your brain on things you can't understand. It's better to keep searching for the lost treasure.
His body felt light. Many times, Baelon tried to jump off the altar, and he succeeded.
"Explorer, you will definitely be able to cure my weakness," Baelon said excitedly, raising his eyebrows, secretly appreciating his adventure.
The excitement didn't get to his head.
The young prince had to lay down again.
As he exited the hallway, dusk was setting in, and the servant lit the oil lamp on the wall to illuminate the Red Keep at night.
No one paid him any attention all the way, and Baelon quickly returned to his chambers.
Crunch:
Pushing the door to open it, the room was dark, with moonlight shining through the glass window, reflecting a hazy halo.
"Who's there?" Baelon stood at the door sternly, looking back by the window.
Ambushing him in his bedroom at night, could someone be wanting to attack him?
"It's me, Baelon."
The figure turned around, and through the moonlight, he could see a girl wearing a thin leather skirt.
She also had silver-golden hair.
The girl turned to look at him and shrugged, "Why, didn't I celebrate your birthday, and you can't even recognize your sister?"
"Baelon, why are you in my room?"
Seeing the girl's face clearly, Baelon breathed a sigh of relief, his eyes filled with joy.
The girl was his biological sister.
The legitimate heir to the Iron Throne.
Light of the Realm - Princess Rhaenyra.
Rhaenyra leaned against the window, looking at his pale face with complex eyes, a flash of pity crossing her face.
Looking away, Rhaenyra hesitated and said, "Today is your birthday. As a sister, I should come and see you."
Baelon smiled happily, "Sister, I'm very glad you could come to see me."
"Not like birthdays, you know."
Rhaenyra spat, "I know, I went to visit my mother today, and I came to see you in the afternoon, and I've been waiting until now."
"Did you not eat?"
Baelon was confused. Brainy questions.
Rhaenyra didn't react for a moment, "I had a piece of bread in the morning, and the rest of the time..."
"That means you didn't eat."
Baelon interrupted her, got up, and went to the bedside table to rummage.
"What are you looking for?" Rhaenyra was puzzled.
"Don't worry, I've got it stocked."
As he said that, Baelon pulled out a packet of cookies from the drawer.
Passing the cookies to Rhaenyra, Baelon hung a cup of cold tea on the fireplace table and lit the embers inside.
"The Red Keep is near the coast. It's very damp and cold no matter if it's winter or summer."
Baelon sat casually by the fireplace, patting the seat opposite and indicating for Rhaenyra to sit.
"How have you been lately? Still having nightmares?"
Without rejecting her brother's kindness, Rhaenyra opened the cookie and ate one generously, warming herself by the fire with him.
"Give me one, I haven't eaten yet."
Baelon grabbed the second cookie he pulled out and replied, "Nightmares always haunt you, I'm used to it long ago."
"Where have you been playing until now? Still haven't eaten?"
Rhaenyra was curious in her heart, with concern in her eyes, "The Grand Maester said you've been refusing to take medicine lately, and my father and I are very worried about you."
Looking around, Baelon shook his head and said, "My body knows how to take medicines. It solves the problem, but I think I'll get better soon."
Baelon defended himself and changed the subject, "Tell me, what else do you have to share with me?"
Rhaenyra said disgustedly, "We're talking about you."
"But every time you come to see me, you always complain to me."
Baelon bit the cookie, "Dear sister, I'm already used to it. Turn into a tree hole for me."
"Bastard." Rhaenyra snorted coldly, "It's not just a dirty power play. Those ministers think women shouldn't sit on the Iron Throne. They want to drag me down and let my father replace I Geng."
"Father loves you deeply, sister."
Baelon didn't think that King Viserys would harm his daughter for what his ministers thought.
"No!" Rhaenyra shouted.
Baelon was startled and looked at her sarcastically.
"Sorry, it wasn't my intention. I was getting worked up by Feng Yanfeng's tone."
Realizing the mistake, Rhaenyra touched her brother's head and lowered her voice a lot, "My father wants to marry me off to someone powerful who can help him. A great man who stabilizes the king's power, I feel like... like..."
"Sold like goods?"
Baelon expressed her thoughts for her.
"Baelon, my brother."
The words revealed her thoughts, Rhaenyra's eyes turned red, and, powerless, she held her brother's hand tightly.
Since her mother died, her father married her best friend, and her uncle Daemon was expelled from King's Landing.
She had no one to confide in her heart.
Other than riding a dragon and flying through the sky, she felt like a lonely ghost in the vast Red Keep.
No one listened to her, no one really helped her.
Rhaenyra held tightly to her brother's thin hand, her chin resting on the shoulder where the bones could be clearly felt, her eyes confused and helpless.
After a long silence, she said with regret, "How I wish you had a healthy body."
"This can meet everyone's expectations and protect me."
"Before the stranger takes me away, I will stay with you. A piece, sister."
Feeling the warmth of the girl's arms, Baelon replied in a subdued voice.
When he was young, the only people in the world were his father Viserys and his sister Rhaenyra.
He didn't want these two family members to suffer harm.
