Chapter 6: Father's Visit

As the morning sun casts its golden rays upon the Evernight mansion, a carriage adorned with the Evernight family crest pulls into the grand courtyard. Lord George Evernight, Azel's father, steps out, his presence commanding attention as he returns home from his journey.

Lady Seraphina, ever the picture of grace and composure, rushes forward to greet her husband, her eyes shining with false yet kind affection as she welcomes him back. Azel, watching from a window above, feels a surge of conflicting emotions at the sight of his mother welcoming his father's return.

Despite his mother's deceit, Azel longs to embrace his father, to seek solace and understanding in his arms. Yet, as he rushes downstairs and tries to meet Lord George, a knot forms in his throat, the weight of his mother's betrayal stifling his words, and confuses him if he tells his father or not.

In the courtyard, amidst the hustle and bustle of servants and attendants, Azel stands in the corner looking at his father, his heart heavy with the burden of the truth he carries. But as he looks into Lord George's eyes while embracing his wife, the words remain unspoken, lost in a sea of uncertainty and fear.

Silently, Azel watches as his father embraces Lady Seraphina, oblivious to the turmoil brewing within their fractured family.

Few minutes later Lord George Evernight, the patriarch of the mansion, inquires about Azel's whereabouts, his gaze falls upon his son standing in the corner, his eyes clouded with anger and sorrow. With a pang of concern, George rushes to embrace Azel, his heart heavy with worry for his beloved child.

"Where have you been, my boy? I missed you so much," George says, his voice filled with genuine warmth and affection as he holds Azel close.

Caught off guard by his father's sudden embrace, Azel hesitates for a moment before returning the gesture, his heart heavy with the weight of his secret. "I've missed you too, Father, you were gone just seven days ago, I'm fine really" he replies, forcing a smile to mask the turmoil raging within him.

As George holds his son tight, he senses Azel's inner turmoil, the unspoken pain hidden behind his false smile. "Is everything alright, Azel?, I know that look are you really ok, Azel?" George asks, his voice tinged with concern.

Azel's heart aches at his father's genuine concern, but the words stick in his throat, the truth too painful to reveal. With a heavy heart, he buries his sorrow deep within him, vowing to protect his father from the harsh realities of the world.

"I'm fine, Father," Azel replies, his voice barely above a whisper. "Just glad to have you home."

With a heavy sigh, Azel buries his secret deep within him, his resolve steeled as he vows to protect his family from the darkness that lurks within their midst.

Few hours later as the day begins to settle and the hustle and bustle of the mansion subsides, Lord George Evernight finds solace in the warmth of his bed beside his wife, Lady Seraphina. They exchange tender words, their voices laced with affection as they bask in the comfort of each other's presence.

"My dear, it's good to be home,I missed your smell and your glittering eyes I crave every time I'm away." George says, his voice filled with contentment as he gazes into his wife's eyes.

Lady Seraphina smiles softly, her heart lighten by his husband compliments as she hides the truth of her betrayal from her husband. "Yes, my love. I've missed you dearly," she replies, her words tinged with lies, she doesn't want to tell her husband that George Evernight cannot satisfy her, she still very much love her husband but George only lacks the ability to satisfy Lady Seraphina, that is the reason why most of the men she slept with are all adventurers whose physics and sizes matches her taste, she gets her opportunity every time her husband is away, she's a lustful mother who craves big and strong men, she remain it secrets even the maids does not know this secret, it shows how intelligent Lady Seraphina is but secretly caughts by her own son.

As they lie together in bed making love, Lady Seraphina's secrets between the adventurers, a shadow lurking in the depths of their shared intimacy. Though George remains oblivious to the truth, the lustful wife will continue on doing with multiple men, lady Seraphina sometimes gives her maids day off just for her happiness and desires only, while Azel in school oblivious to his own mothers activity in the mansion, and both Azel and George Evernight attend there activities unbeknownst to their wife/mother doings at home.

As the days pass, Lord George Evernight gathers his family, including Azel, to share news of his upcoming journey. With a solemn expression, he announces his departure for the bustling city of Silverhaven, where he will engage in trading ventures to further bolster the Evernight family's wealth and influence.

"I'll be away for a while, my dear family," George says, his voice tinged with regret. "But fear not, for I shall return as soon as my business is concluded." George says it playfully to lighten Azel.

Azel nods solemnly, his heart heavy with the weight of his father's absence. "I understand, Father," he replies, his voice filled with determination. "I promise to take care of things here while you're away." George nods and hug Azel before his goes inside his carriage, the horses are ready to go, George bid his farewell to his family and maids.

Unbeknownst to Lady Seraphina she does not know when will George be home, George omits the exact date of his return, choosing instead to keep it vague in case his business concludes sooner than expected. With a heavy heart, as the horses walks slower he again bid his farewell to his wife and son, his gaze lingering on Azel with a mixture of pride and concern.

As George departs in his carriage slowly Fading in the horizon he embark in the city of Silverhaven for business trades, Azel, Lady Seraphina, and the mansion staff gather to bid him farewell. Tears glisten in Lady Seraphina's eyes as she watches her husband depart, a sense of foreboding settling over the mansion in his absence.

With a heavy sigh, Azel braces himself for the challenges that lie ahead, Finding out more about his mother's affairs.
