Decan and the other 1 rejected his orders, vigilantly looking from side to side with heightened senses.
But before they could react, a dagger already plunged through the window, distracting them wholly.
At this moment, they were already standing on 2 legs with weapons drawn.

"A diversion!"
In that split second earlier, they were so distracted by the dagger they undermined the enemy intruding through the carriage's door.
Before they knew it, another enemy had opened the carriage and stabbed his Highness Frederik on the arm.
