Chapter 15

"Don't be intimidated, my family is a lovely one". I try to make Mildra comfortable after we finish dinner. "You'll be staying in one of the rooms on the ground floor. One of our maids will help you settle in".

I call one of the maids and instruct her to take care of Mildra as I leave to my room.

"Thank you very much. Mildra says in an inaudible voice."

"You're welcome and see you tomorrow." I say with a smile and head towards my room

"Boo, I found this nice dress online and I want it"!. My girlfriend Nina pouts her lips and looks at me with wide open eyes immediately I enter my room.

"Sure, you can get it."

" How much do you need? "

"Ermm like 5k will be enough", she says whiles I remove my clothes and get into the bathtub.

"Aha and who is the girl you brought home. I don't like her already." She continues talking whiles I turn on the shower in the bathtub.

I turn a deaf ear to what she's saying and take my bath.

"Did you hear all that I was saying, Nina looks at me as I come out of the bath and walk to the closet to decide what PJs I'll be wearing to sleep.

"Yeah, I did. Look, I've already decided to help. She has nobody to support her. She's just sixteen and I bet you haven't experienced half of what she has been through." I defend Mildra.

"We're high class citizens in this country and it will be a stain on our noble name to associate ourselves with these low-lives". Nina emphasizes with a stern face .

"Give back to society; I'm very tired and not ready for an argument this evening". I shake my head and move to the bed to sleep, leaving my girlfriend standing there with her hands on her hips.
