Chapter 1Opening

I blinked open my eyes, sight still blurry. First thing I realized was that my neck and head hurt, like a fucking lot. I stayed on the ground for a few moments, just staring at a grassy field and brick building.

I want to start this off by saying, how I ended up here, was not my fault. In my defense, I was drunk.

So others might disagree. You aren't supposed to dare your friends to jump off a cruise ship at night, when its completely dark. Those others might go further and say you aren't supposed to dare your drunk friends to do it.

I might say as of my current situation, you aren't supposed to actually do the dare. Not sure exactly what killed me first but judging from the stabbing pain in the back of my head, I was dragged under by sharks.

Guess sharks found out cruise ships are easier prey…

I carefully got up and looked at the brick building that greeted me. It wasn't a friendly welcome.

"Death"

Yep, great. Exactly how everyone should be greeted when they wake up in some fucking weird form of the afterlife. Out of thousands of religions, not one warned me about this shit.

But fuck it, my neck and head still fucking hurt, I'm probably going down as the stupidest kid alive in the world of the living and I don't remember my name. Nothing much else to lose really.

I walk into the building, nothing else around me but grass and trees. Four tables set next to each other in a square, the two up front for two people and the other two in the back is for four people.

Hesitantly, I took a seat in the left two people's table. My footsteps making a clicking noise against the tile floor as I walked, not the noise it should make.

I watched puzzled as a timer summoned out of thin air and started counting down from five. The world went black when it quickly reached one. The next thing I knew, I woke up in a new room.

Staring in front of me was  a drive through window. So I'm in hell, awesome.

I turned around and saw a wooden door behind me and to my right was a metal door. In the corner were some trash bags, and finally to the left were some plain red, blue and yellow cubes.

I would be bothered by the three large bags in the corner collecting flies but strangely, I couldn't even smell it and the flies stayed with the trash, the constant three flies, flying in a constant circle. I couldn't even hear them.

Then my sight flashed black again, Day 1 shining in front of me.

Day 1?! Day 1?! How many fucking days was I suppose to do this?! Why am I doing this to begin with?! How are people even hungry in the Afterlife?!

When the room showed up again, I immediately started looking for a calendar, I reached the window but when I reached the window, something chimed.

And kept fucking chiming, like a door bell.

I looked around confused, obviously nothing in here so I walked through the wooden door. There was a counter for like a register and a line if there were way more people than me in here, but looking out the large windows, it was nearly pitch black outside.

To the right, there were two doors. One with a bathroom sign on it and the other that read Employees only.

I immediately went through the employees only door, ain't no one here to tell me otherwise. And I found the annoying doorbell, it was coming from a T.v up on the wall. It had a very unpleasant red screen that read

[Take customer's order]

Really? I came in here to see that? Fucking hell…

I stepped out of the room and returned to the kitchen spot, walking up to the window, the little table with a computer showed the prompt

[Take order]

I clicked the prompt and looked around for said order, stopping at the cubes to the left. I walked near them and the prompts appeared in order.

[Order 1]

[Order 2]

[Order 3]

Uhh, okay… Considering I don't know which order I need, I waited a few seconds then a car rolled to a stop in front of the window.

"Order red please!" A fake generated voice asked, the loudness making me jump.

I look at the blue car, windows on it completely blacked out. My mouth dropped open a little, confusion and fear numbing my brain out completely.

What the fuck was that?

Keeping my eyes open for too long worsened the pain in my head so I just went and pressed the prompt floating over the red cube.

[1] appeared in this gray square in the bottom of my eye sight.

Well, I'm obviously not one for common sense but this is a game, I was reincarnated in a game. I looked around, that makes sense now but what fucking type of game?

I walked back to the window, the prompt for giving the food was there now. I pressed it and the car drove off, nothing more.

Okay, this is easy but how fucking long am I suppose to do this? A complete seven days or do I have to wait until someone else dies?

Suddenly as if on cue, the T.v started to play. Groaning, I walked back to where it was, this time there was a news reporter. She was pixelated like she was… well, from a game. There was a classic news sound then a creepy fake female voice started talking.

"Coming at you from the police station, I'm here to announce that a serial killer is on the loose. There is no further information. If you have any information, please call the police."

With that, the T.v turned off, filling the room with silence. I wasn't sure how to react, every game I've ever played with a serial killer meant I'm either dumb enough to follow it or it's following me, and I don't like either of those options.
