Uncle

After preparing a hearty breakfast for himself and Flabébé in the newly renovated kitchen, Yuga enjoyed the meal together with his Pokémon in the improved dining area.

Dining in such a pleasant environment lifted his spirits.

Once breakfast was finished, Yuga decided to visit the warehouse to inspect the Pokémon eggs.

The warehouse was also located on the first floor, albeit not very spacious since the Day Care typically had few clients who required storage.

Most of the Pokémon eggs were displayed in the shop.

Only due to Yuga parents' unfortunate incident were the remaining dozen or so Pokémon eggs moved to the warehouse.

Yuga counted them – there were a total of 14.

Using his discerning skill, he assessed the qualities of these eggs.

The majority were orange, with only five being yellow.

These eggs had been appraised and labeled with their qualities, but Yuga was merely testing out his discerning ability.

All the qualities he saw matched the labels.

Out of the 14 eggs, there were three Tailow, four Shroomish, five Skitty, and two Lotad eggs.

The most precious ones were the two Lotad eggs, both of them having yellow qualities.

The remaining three yellow-quality eggs were one Tailow, one Skitty, and one Shroomish.

All of these eggs were native to the Hoenn region, with the exception of Lotad, which were relatively common.

Once Yuga had a clear understanding of these eggs, he moved them all back into the shop cabinets.

Of course, his intention was not to sell them. The transfer of ownership for the Day Care hadn't been completed yet, making it illegal to sell the eggs.

His motive was to utilize the specially designed fabric pads in the cabinets, creating a more suitable environment for storing the eggs.

As he looked at the neatly arranged eggs, Yuga let out a sigh of relief.

Now that he had sorted out these eggs, he could officially begin his journey as the owner of the Day Care once the transfer process was finalized.

As the saying goes, when you mention Cao Cao, Cao Cao arrives.

Just as Yuga was contemplating the transfer process, his uncle called him.

Although Yuga had memories of his uncle from his original self, this was his first time seeing him in person, albeit through a video call.

"Yuga, how have these past few days been for you?"

Yuga uncle, Kurosaki Mine, had a refined appearance that exuded an air of cultured elegance.

It was hard to imagine that Luna mischievous personality was nurtured by the gentle beauty, Hisako, and the mild-mannered uncle.

"I'm doing well, Uncle. No need to worry about me."

"It's better for you to be safe. I've been away these days, and I couldn't come back to see you even when you were in trouble. I apologize."

Yuga uncle had taken care of the arrangements for Yuga parents' funeral, and for that, he had taken several days off from work.

After the arrangements were completed, he had to go on a business trip, preventing him from being there for Yuga when he needed support.

"No, no, I should be the one apologizing. You've been busy taking care of everything after my parents' passing, and here I am causing more trouble for you. I'm truly sorry."

"Don't say that. We're family, and taking care of these matters is our responsibility."

While conversing with his uncle, Yuga marveled at how different Luna mischievous behavior was from the calm and gentle demeanor of his uncle and aunt.

"By the way, how's your Flabébé doing? Is it adapting well to its new environment?"

Yuga uncle inquired about Flabébé, showing genuine concern for the Pokémon.

"Flabébé is doing fine. It's adjusting to the new environment, and we're getting along well."

"That's good to hear. Pokémon are sensitive creatures, and they need time to adapt. Take good care of it."

"I will, Uncle. Thank you for your concern."

After a pleasant conversation with his uncle, Yuga felt a sense of comfort.

Despite the recent challenges, having family support was reassuring.

As the video call ended, Yuga reflected on how Luna carefree nature might have been shaped by a combination of her parents' influence and her own unique disposition.

With his uncle words in mind, Yuga continued his preparations for the Day Care official reopening.

The transfer of ownership was still pending, but he was determined to move forward and make the Day Care a successful venture.

"I've heard that you're going to inherit the Day Care, and I'm very happy about it. I believe your mom and dad would also be pleased."

Kurosaki Mine didn't want to bring up Yuga painful past, so he shifted the topic and began discussing the Day Care.

"I just got back today, and your aunt told me about this. Since I have some free time this afternoon, how about I help you with the transfer procedure? Do you have time?"

Yuga was fully prepared and had the time, of course.

"That's great. I'll come pick you up this afternoon. Just wait for me at home."

Yuga shop had just been renovated by the system, so he didn't want Kurosaki to come over.

In just a few days, the shop had undergone significant changes, and it wasn't suitable for visitors at the moment.

"No, no, you just got back. It's better for you to rest. I'll come over to your place. It's just a few steps away."

Kurosaki hesitated for a moment but agreed in the end.

"Alright then. I'll wait for you at home. Besides, there's something I want to discuss with you."

With his uncle agreement, Yuga felt relieved.

After having lunch, Yuga hurriedly went to Hisako house with Flabébé.

As soon as Yuga arrived at the door, he saw Luna sitting on the steps, lost in thought.

Luna attention was first drawn not to Yuga, but to Flabébé perched on his shoulder.

Yuga felt a slight tremor from Flabébé on his shoulder.

"Big Brother Yuga, why did you come so late? My dad has been waiting for you at home."

While speaking to Yuga, Luna gaze kept flickering towards Flabébé.

"Why are you sitting at the doorstep?"

"Of course, I'm waiting for you!"

Yuga thought to himself, "No, you're not."

Then, he saw Luna pounce towards Flabébé on his shoulder.

It was hard to believe that such a small figure could possess such remarkable agility.

Seemingly sensing Luna approach, Flabébé extended its two vines and pressed them against Luna shoulder to stop her.

However, as they say, "Where there's a will, there's a way."

Luna turned the vines around and pulled Flabébé into her arms.

"Hehe, gotcha!"

Luna let out a mischievous laugh, her little demon-like nature reappearing.

Soon after, Flabébé "cry of distress" echoed continuously.

When Yuga entered the house, he saw only his uncle sitting on the sofa.

He knew that Hisako was at work during this time, so she wouldn't be home.

"Uncle, I'm here."

Hearing Yuga voice, Kurosaki Mine finally noticed that Yuga had entered.

"Yuga, come over here. Sit."

Kurosaki patted the sofa next to him, indicating for Yuga to take a seat.

Yuga walked over and sat down next to Kurosaki.

He then saw his uncle take out a bank card and turned to Yuga, saying :

"After your parents passed away, you seemed emotionally distraught. So, both your Aunt Hisako and I handled their affairs for them. The accident happened while they were out shopping for supplies. They were involved in an accident while riding in a vehicle from the Pokémon Nursery. As a result, the Nursery took on a significant portion of the responsibility. This card contains the compensation they provided."

"In addition to that, the accident happened on their way back, so the supplies they had purchased weren't safely delivered to the Day Care.

As a result, they also promised that the next time the Day Care goes for supplies, they won't charge any fees.

Originally, your Aunt Hisako and I thought you wouldn't take over the Day Care, so we didn't tell you.

However, since you've decided to continue running the Day Care, we must make things clear to you."

Yuga accepted the bank card from Kurosaki Mine with a sense of guilt and said:

"I'm sorry, Uncle.

I was so preoccupied with grief that I didn't take on the responsibilities I should have, and I pushed everything onto you and Aunt Hisako.

I know that both you and Aunt Hisako must have been just as heartbroken as I was, yet you had to suppress your sadness and help with my parents' affairs.

I truly haven't been a good son."

Even though these matters were the actions of the original owner, and not related to the present Yuga, he was now in someone else body and had to bear the consequences.

Hearing Yuga words, Kurosaki Mine felt that his nephew had finally grown up. Suppressing his own emotional pain, he patted Yuga shoulder.

"You're a good child. Your reaction at that time was normal.

We're family, and there's no distinction between you and me.

As long as you can be happy from now on, your mom and dad wouldn't blame you."
