Cousin Conversation

"What happened?" Lex asked as I leaned against the door, closing it behind Cassandra as she exited the room.

Lex had given some excuse that he needed to discuss something with me about work.

"I was investigating," I shrugged.

"And what exactly did Cassandra say?" he questioned me.

"Do not take that tone with me, cousin," I said as I glared at him. He was talking to me as if I were one of his employees who had messed up.

He bit his lower lip and sighed before walking to the mini bar in his office.

Pouring himself a drink he looked down and shook his head.

"I was investigating all the PR worthy incidents, they gave the report to Cassandra and she realized something was wrong," I calmly explained to my cousin.

He emptied the glass and poured two more.

Offering one to me I laughed and shook my head but took it.

"Sloppy work, cousin," I said, shaking my head as I collapsed on the couch.
