Lucca's parents made a party to congratulate our engagement. There were lots of big people and Terrence never left my side at all.

"Aren't you hungry Anne?" He asked as he handed me the plate.

"I am but I don't have the appetite at all," I said as Mr. Hail came to congratulate me together with his daughter.

"It was an unexpected engagement! It would be better of course if Lucy was the one who got Lucca but anyways happy engagement darling." Mrs. Hail said as I can feel the sarcasm in her every word.

"That's way too rude for you to say, Mrs. Hail," Terrence said as everyone looked shocked.

"A mere servant shouldn't talk like that to us! And you dare steal our daughter Lucy away from us! As if you can give her a peaceful life!" Mrs. Hail said as I look at Terrence's calm face.

That's right Terrence you shouldn't make a scene here.
