As Marcus killed three Human-Mantis he understands to short-coming of his ability too, it may look so strong and powerful at first, but as every ability it had it is a weakness too.

In a sense when Marcus uses his "En" to teleport himself he was not teleporting himself, he was just relocating himself in his "En", it can be said that the ability itself pretty similar to "Post-Rose Meruem" Photon, but still there are fundamental differences between the two ability.

First, the Meruem used his "En" to locate enemies and use his massive speed to reach and destroy them if it needed but in comparison, Marcus uses his "En" and every object or the living being in the "En" itself (same rule of "5-cm" applies here) will be open to him to teleport or relocate himself.

This means that after Marcus uses his "En" he creates a marked region, the places and living beings inside of his En changes into complete invisible "marked" things that Marcus teleports.

The downside of this ability is if the enemy or target knows the ability, the only thing he has to do is just be vigilant against the Marcus, if the Marcus uses "En" to teleport to himself or object around to himself only thing the target has to do use is just used "En" to the counter the Marcus.

If the enemy itself uses En too and then wait for Marcus, the reaction time of most people will be enough for the enemy to hit the teleported before Marcus even materialized himself.

It may look that Marcus just vanishes and appear when using his ability but there is still a time that passes between the teleportation, the instant is just a name for very fast speed, the ability itself will be not an ability that called "teleportation" it has to be called "time-stop"

Marcus knew these things and for the time being he had no idea to counter these shortcomings but he did not need to, in the world of "Nen" nothing is perfect, every ability and every power has it is disadvantages

Marcus knew that combat is important but he also knew that in the world of "Hxh" most of the battles done with plans, teamwork, and intel, there are a lot of hunters who were not even battle-oriented, like "Knov", and the Prince Benjamin Soldiers.

And the other thing he thought that, if his abilities worked with the other people, can he mark people and then teleport him, or when he holding a human or a living thing,

Can it teleport with him too, these things are important too but first, he wanted to create an ability that helps him to gather intel like "Sattelite Dragonflies" like the ability of Flutter, he may not be the best fighter around as a chimera ant but his power helped the royal guards and the "Leol" itself too much,

Marcus wanted to create an ability like that to help himself and the others if the need arises which is going to arise in the latter times, imagine having a teleportation ability and intel gathering ability in the Big Ship which is will be going to "Dark Continent", Marcus wanted to be prepared for everything.
