Chapter 2

Luo Shin looked at the humongous white rabbit peacefully eating grass.

He was already thinking about his method of cooking it. Should he roast it, steam it, or maybe boil it?

His mouth was already salivating imagining the taste of the well-done rabbit meat. And after thinking that, he finally decided, that he should roast it for the additional textural flavor. But upon realizing, that he did not have any additional ingredients or a way to start a campfire.

He dropped the Idea of a nice hearty meal in a potentially harmful environment.

From his point of view, there was nothing but a glistering plain of grass. And not a single Tree insight for firewood. That meant, that even if he could get his hands on some meat, he would still have to eat it potentially raw.

For some odd reason ..."…" that didn't sound that appetizing.

At this moment, the huge rabbit seemed to have been startled by something. Its long floppy ears shot up in vigilance as it looked at its surroundings with not-seen-before caution.

Its deep bloody eyes suddenly looked even more bloody, as it looked upwards and kept on munching with its mouth.

The human and rabbit were staring at each other for what seemed like minutes. Those minutes seemed to Luo Shin as if two gourmet customers were looking at each other with a fondness for food. Witch looked odd as one was thinking of the other as the food, and the other munched on some delicious grass.

There was still a connection between them, both were lovers of culinary delicacies.

However, when he saw the little mouth open and reveal rows of shining white teeth, Luo Shin realized he was wrong with his assumption.

If it was a normal rabbit it wouldn't require such menacingly looking razor-sharp teeth. As rabbits should have been your friendly, vegan, furry softballs.

As Luo Shin began to feel a hostile intent, he couldn't help but take a few steps back subconsciously.

He came from a moderately peaceful Earth, which hadn't had much conflict at all. Except for some Wars in neighboring countries which didn't affect him personally. Well, maybe that's why he hasn't needed to harm any living being in his life.

When he felt the ferocious energy coming from the giant rabbit, he became a little uncertain of his decision to not run away on instinct.

As for the previous owner of this body, Luo Shin knew from his memories that his talent for martial arts wasn't very good. Perfectly ordinary would describe it. The foundation-building fist technique, his movement technique, and his way of the sword were in no way near the completion stage.

Coupled with his zero-to-none real combat experience his chances of survival were limited.

Luo Shin clutched his fists and stared cruelly at the huge rabbit. `If you encounter a tiger, you must not appear unconfident and afraid. At least if you look at it while trying you will die with honor.´

Luo Shin hadn't encountered a tiger before but this huge rabbit was even bigger than 75cm. It's still huge for a complete amateur. It could be considered a fierce beast, right?

The man and rabbit glared at each other. Both were waiting with vigilance for the other to make the first move.

The rabbit´s chi was ferocious, but it was very careful and didn't attack immediately.

Meanwhile, cold sweat was pouring down Luo Shin's forehead.

He went over the basic movement techniques over and over in preparation to run at a moment's notice. Should the situation arise, it seemed to be the best option to run for it. And not engage in combat with the murderous beast.

Luo Shin felt extremely great mental pressure from being stared at by the rabbit's blood-red eyes. That sheen with murderous intentions. Soon, more sweat gathered on his forehead.

His mouth felt dryer by the minute and he couldn't resist gulping down some saliva trying to stay calm.

That was the moment the rabbit needed, as it jumped with its strong legs from the ground. Thereby throwing a mixture of blades of grass and earth into the sky, with a small thud

The rabbit transformed into a blurry white light, that rapidly neared Luo Shin.

The gap between them was closed by tens of meters in just a few seconds. The giant rabbit got close up to Luo Shin. Its fluffy paws which from a distance looked not threatening at all. Became razor-sharp claws that were so fast that they seemed like lethal scythes of light trying to claim Luo Shin's life like a grim reaper harvesting souls.

Luo Shin bit his lips and forced himself to stay conscious under the charge of the ferocious chi. He subconsciously used his right foot to lean himself to the left trying to get out of harm's way.

Screech!

There was a slight tearing sound and claws of light sliced through Luo Shins's pajamas like paper, leaving three faint marks on his chest. They were gushing with fresh blood and dripping down due to gravity doing its work.

Before Luo Shin had time to catch his breath the giant rabbit landed, twisted, then sprung again, trying once again to reunite him with his maker.

Screech!

"Fuck!"

How the Fuck does a measly lousy rabbit with some sharp claws dare to humiliate him like that? Showing not an ounce of pain Luo Shin only had one thought left. To make this stupid rabbit pay with its life.

Even if the past owner of this body wasn't some Godly prodigy, he still practiced his martial arts diligently. Trying his best to become someone powerful.

The foundational level of martial arts is divided into 9 levels of body refinement. Martial arts trainees can eat the meat of ferocious beasts to gain an advantage over other trainees. But it isn't necessary to progress. The foundational techniques generate chi to refine the body not as fast as with the beast meat but still useable.

The technique is for some children of poor families with didn't have the resources to provide themselves with the beast meat that's rich with chi, the only way to try to change their life.

The gathered chi is used to refine the energy and spread it throughout their entire body, aka the skin, tendons, bone marrows, organs, 12 core meridians as well as the Ren and Du meridians.

This was for the foundation of their future use of spirit chi.

Luo Shin was no prodigy but he was average. His family also never lacked ferocious beast meat, even if it wasn't served every day. It was served at least once in a while, therefore he had the power of a level-four martial trainee. Witch wasn't that far from the progress of an above-average Martial trainee.

He had already begun refining the bones in his body at that stage.

While facing the huge rabbit's rapid charge, he could barely dodge it, due to his undeveloped combat instincts.

If he got the time to calm himself, then perhaps he could survive this fight with only a few injuries.

When the giant rabbit charged at him again, Luo Shin had already calmed down completely. His eyes went cold as he moved his legs and sidestepped slightly. Which resulted in him dodging another charge of the rabbit.

The difference this time was, that he used his momentum to strike the rabbit when it least expected it. His punch traveled right into the side area of the stomach.

Thud!

The punch flung the rabbit a few meters into the distance, where it landed.

Luo Shin sneered, "Rabbits will always be rabbits, even if bigger it's still vulnerable. It didn't get a hide of steel or anything."...… What?!"

He did not even get half a sentence out before his eyes went wide with shock. The rabbit didn't just survive it, it already got up ready to charge again. Thirsting for revenge.

Luo Shin didn't hold back on that punch at all. He used his everything on that, it would have even cracked a rock open with that much force. Was this rabbit truly made out of iron?! He was just joking you know.

Seeing the now even crazier rabbit charge over and over again, Luo Shin's mouth spasmed. His eyes went cold as he thought, if one punch was not enough he would punch it till it stayed on the ground. Today, I will crack your rabbit head open!

Thus, Luo Shin sprung up with his legs and rushed into the fight. One man one Chicken "caught" rabbit fought fist to claw with neather planning on giving up. They kept on entwining and charging at each other as if they were lifelong enemies.

They clashed hundreds of times until finally, Luo Shin's punch landed on the rabbit's head with a thud. Sending it into eternal darkness.

Its brains had been scattered to pieces and it inevitably died.

Luo Shin finally came out victorious after a dance with the Grim Reaper. Although he had bleeding marks on his body and had lost some blood, there was nothing lethal that would be able to kill him.

Yes, his punches struck the giant rabbit's head with incredible precision over and over, eventually killing it.

Luo Shin just couldn't help but sit on the ground panting heavily after all that. He had expended not only his physical but also his mental energy. Being dead tired couldn't even begin to describe how he was feeling.

He looked at the body of the giant rabbit that lay at his side and thought that the rabbit's defense, was incredible though it wasn't quite like iron, but it was indefinitely close to iron.

It took him more than a hundred punches to finally kill it. And even then it was thanks to the rabbit's brain becoming munch.

At this moment, the rabbit's body suddenly glowed with a reddish glow, that came outside of the body leaving behind two cherry-sized red orbs.

The orbs emitted a weak glow, making them stand out from the grassy surroundings.

Luo Shin looked at the two orbs and blinked his eyes. Were the monsters in this world so generous as to leave behind some shiny loot?

He went up and grabbed the light orbs with his hand. The orbs weighed the same as a normal cherry from Earth. They had a slight warmth to them, that they left on the hand.
