Little Hangerton is a small village located in Merseyside, in the northwest of England.
It's a tiny community with only a few dozen homes.
Suddenly, on a lonely farmland, there was a twist in space, forming a vortex.
When the vortex disappeared, Arthur and a wizard named Brian appeared on the farmland.
Arthur straightened his slightly wrinkled clothes and rubbed his forehead.
He wasn't feeling good at the moment.
He had never used a Portkey before, and to be honest, Arthur thought that Apparition was a hundred times better than Portkeys.
Using a Portkey made Arthur feel like he was being thrown into a flushing toilet, and the flush was stuck.
Unfortunately, he didn't know where the Gaunt House was, and Brian's magic wasn't strong enough to Apparate them from such a long distance.
Brian, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke up after Arthur recovered a bit.
He slightly bent down and said, "Sir, the house is located outside the village, about a mile away from our current position."
Arthur nodded and gestured for Brian to lead the way.
They walked on a small path through the trees. The roadside was full of weeds, showing that it hadn't been used for a long time.
With Brian's guidance, the two of them passed through tall bushes and got to their destination.
On a hill, there was a beautiful mansion with a dead snake nailed to the door. A large field surrounded it, and a quiet graveyard was on the other side of the hill.
"You don't need to come in. Just wait outside,"
Arthur instructed Brian before entering the house.
The walls of the mansion were covered in moss, and many of the roof tiles were broken, showing the wooden shafts inside.
Arthur didn't care about how empty it was and went straight to the house. However, a hissing noise stopped him in his tracks.
Two poisonous snakes, each about three meters long, came out of cracks in the wall.
Their cold snake eyes focused on Arthur, and they were ready to attack at any moment.
"Reducto!"
Arthur used the Reducto Curse to deal with the two snakes. After making sure there were no other snakes around, he entered the house.
Although Arthur didn't sense any magical alarms when he entered, he couldn't guarantee that these two snakes weren't part of Voldemort's scheme.
But it didn't matter. Voldemort still didn't know where Arthur was, so he didn't pose a threat to him.
The Gaunt Mansion had only three rooms.
Arthur entered the middle living room. The room had small windows, giving it a gloomy atmosphere.
On both sides of the living room were two doors leading to other rooms, and the overall design was simple.
"Ventus"
Arthur softly said, and an instant gust of wind blew through the room, scattering all the dust.
Then, he cast a Flashing Charm, brightening up the entire room.
After completing these tasks, Arthur began searching for any trace of the Resurrection Stone in the room.
However, the room was not large, and there were only a few places where a ring could be hidden.
Soon, Arthur found what he was looking for in a cabinet in the corner of the wall.
It was an ugly black gem ring with the inscription "Peverell Crest" on the ring band.
"Pick it up..."
"Take it up..."
Arthur muttered to himself as a voice in his mind kept calling out to him, urging him to lift the ring.
"Chirp!"
A hopeful and bright bird's song awakened Arthur's consciousness. Furry appeared in the air, engulfed in golden flames, circling around Arthur.
"That was close!"
Arthur wiped off a bead of sweat, realizing that he had been lost in thought for half an hour.
Without Furry's help, he wouldn't have been able to break free from that voice.
Although the curse on the ring left by Voldemort wouldn't harm him, thanks to Avalon, Arthur realized it was the first time he had suffered such a big loss of control since he started his journey.
He reminded himself to be more focused and alert.
While his natural combat abilities were on par with those of Voldemort and other powerful wizards, thanks to the Ea Wand and Avalon's defense, he was still inexperienced when it came to dealing with these dark tricks.
But Arthur did not give up.
It had only been two years since he acquired the Gacha System.
By the time Voldemort returned, he would have plenty of time to improve himself. Who knows who will win by then?
"Chirp!"
Furry's chirping interrupted Arthur's thoughts.
He gently stroked Furry's soft feathers and praised, "Well done, Furry. I'll reward you with expensive food when we get back."
Hearing his master's praise and the promise of a delicious treat, Furry affectionately rubbed against Arthur's cheek and landed on his shoulder.
With his mind calmed, Arthur put on several layers of protection before touching the Resurrection Stone with his wand.
As expected, a green light burst out of the black jewel as soon as the wand touched it, but it splashed against Arthur's shield and dissipated without causing harm.
"Detected a pure soul essence. Convert it into 5,000 gold coins?"
When hearing the system prompt, Arthur agreed and took the ring into his hand.
After examining it for a while without noticing anything extraordinary, Arthur put the ring back in his pocket and turned to leave the house.
Outside the door, Brian was still patiently waiting.
However, when he saw Furry standing on Arthur's shoulder, his stoic expression showed a hint of change.
Arthur glanced back at the house.
Even though he had reincarnated to get here, his last name was still Gaunt, and leaving his family's home in such lousy shape didn't feel right.
Arthur decided to renovate the house, expand it, and turn it into his own vacation resort.
The summers here were much cooler than in London, making it a perfect summer vacation.
"Let's go. Hold on to my clothes, and I'll take you back to London."
Following Arthur's order, Brian grabbed onto his clothes, and in an instant, their figures vanished from the spot.
