The Baptism

Raphael was completely down. When he returned to the room, he saw that Lady Margaret was no longer there, and that Daphne returned. He looked at her, and then at Will. He stared at the, for a long time, and Daphne asked him, "What happened? Why do you look like that. What happened in at lunch?". She was very worried.

"Lunch? Oh, nothing. It's just that I have forgotten something to do. You have to go to the city yesterday and sign a few documents at the bank. The bank had sent a letter to me, and I forgot all about it in the hurry of coming back here. There is a branch of the bank here, so no worries there. I will stay here, father has given me something to do."

"But who will look after... William? Urgh! I can't bring myself to say that name so easily. Well, who will look after him? It has been so little time since his birth, and I am not even the person he sees most. What if, god forbid, he looks at someone else for a mother figure?"

"You worry too much, Daphne. It is just for a few days. The situation will stabilize very soon. We were going to come to London sooner or later... We just came here eleven years too early."

"So you already decided that he will be going to Hogwarts?"

"It was never a decision, Daphne! He would have to go. He is our son. He will need to be able to protect himself."

Will, who was wide awake, had his mouth agape. "Hogwarts? What is happening? Am I in a Harry Potter Novel? What the hell is this going on here?", he thought. As a fan of Harry Potter, he never even imagined that he would come to this situation where he would reincarnate into the Harry Potter world.

"So that is where I heard the name muggle. It felt so familiar to me.", he came to a realization.

Meanwhile, his parents were just discussing about the next steps to take.

The next day arrived like lightning. Daphne left the house to go to the bank at Raphael's behest. The moment she left, Raphael took Will to the study in the second floor that he was in yesterday. Will was confused as to what was happening, but he stayed quiet, and did not make a peep.

"Good thing that you understand the importance of today's task. Remember, you are doing this for him, and for your wife as well. The Monroe family lacked a true Dumbledore level wizard since your great great grandfather. While I came close, that was just a small deterrent for our enemies. A true head of a noble house should be able to protect the members from all the threats, including the one we are going to face. Well, that potter boy will be the first target, and Dumbledore after that, but they will fall like dominoes for sure, so we have to take our precautions.", Arthur said. He was sitting on a chair next to a desk.

"You don't need to sell this to me. I just want to make sure that he survives this... whatever you are going to do to him."

"Do you think I would allow for the final hope to die just like that? I have taken certain precautions.", Arthur said, smiling and rubbing his hands.

"Now then, give me the boy and sit over there. I will have to prepare him. This could be painful. I don't know.", Arthur said, and reached out for Will. Raphael handed Will and went to sit in the side. Will was terrified on what was happening here. He did not understand the progression of events, and it felt like he was about to get killed. He wanted to scream, but he felt it would only make things worse.

Arthur then took out a box, and a dropper.

"Open your mouth William. You are a good boy, aren't you?", Arthur said, in a low voice.

Will unconsciously did the same, and his mouth was wide open. A few droplets of a red liquid fell into his mouth, and just melted away into his throat. Then, he felt a burning sensation in his tummy. Now, he started screaming in pain, and the baby's screams reverberated throughout the room.

"Don't worry, no one can hear us in here."

"That is not what I am worried about. I am worried about my boy.", Raphael said, with concern.

"He is in my very capable hands, not to worry."

He took out another box, and it had a feather inside of it. He put the feather to the chest of Will. After all of this was done, the pain in Will's stomach was not subsiding, but rather increasing quite drastically. He felt extremely hot, as if he was on fire.

Arthur's brow was tight, and he seemed concerned about something. Finally, at the end, he took out the final part of the entire 'baptism'. Taking out a stone, he placed it onto the hands of Will, which he joined together.

"Now, let us hope that the fire does not burn him to ashes.", he said.
