Chapter 19 Big day

Harry pov:

For Harry, the day of his seventh birthday is just one big blur, after waking up in the ritual room he was still feeling the toll that the enhancement rituals put on him that's why he took a few very powerful restorative potions from the chamber just to get through the day.

Harry's mind for the most part was in a haze under the effects of these potions. Only due to his exceptional occlumency was harry able to hide the fact that mentally he was a little more than a ghoul during this time.

Harry only remembers a few things from the day, like the fact that when he was having breakfast things seemed a little tense with his parents and grandparents but at that time he didn't have the mental capacity to figure out why? he knows that they all went to visit a zoo but can't even tell where this zoo is or what is the name of the zoo?

The fog over his mind slowly started to clear in the evening and he only gained the ability to think clearly now that he is in the Potter hall where his family and their closest friends have gathered to celebrate his and his siblings birthday.

Harry sat on the couch as everyone he knew and loved filled the Potter Hall. This is completely different from the previous timeline when he lived in the giant Potter Mansion alone.

In the previous timeline when his parents and grandparents died the mansion automatically went on a complete lockdown to protect Potter Family secrets and Harry only got access to the mansion after he came of age.

By that time the potter house-elves all had died due to lack of magic since they weren't contracted to any wizard or witch, usually house-elves would leave after their masters die to find a new master or go to Hogwarts and take the castle itself as their new master to survive as it is flowing with magic. But potter elves are so loyal that they would rather die here than go out and find new masters. So to respect these loyal house-elves harry never got any new house-elves for the mansion.

Harry never thought he would see the mansion once again filled with so many people. Charlie and Neville are eagerly examining the pile of gifts most like trying to figure out what's inside all those colourful boxes. Rose and her friends are talking and giggling at one side of the room.

Harry's twin sisters are sitting beside him observing the people who suddenly came to their usually empty house. The Potter Mansion didn't have many visitors for the past seven years most likely due to the attacks during the war and the destruction of the potter cottage on that night.

Harry see his father and grandfather with his uncles discussing the latest Quidditch match it seems like the men are in their own little world.

Having a magical family can be a little weird if you have grown up with muggles. Harry's grandparents are in their late 80s but they still look like a couple in their late 30s, this is because they both are magically powerful so they will live even longer than an average wizard and due to their vast wealth they can afford to buy powerful vitality potions to keep their bodies in their prime for a long time.

Even his parents and his uncles Sirius and Remus look like teenagers, they look exactly the same as they did in their Hogwarts graduation pictures. Harry still remembers the scared and aged appearance of Sirius and Remus during his third year and now he can physically see the difference his parent's death made on the two of them.

Harry for the most part just sat on the couch taking care of his twin sisters so that they don't feel uncomfortable with so many new people moving around them. Pretty soon it was time for opening presents.

Harry, Rose and Charlie were all brought to the middle of the room so everyone can watch them open their presents. For a seven-year-old child this might be exciting but as an adult this is all kinds of humiliating. Harry kept a straight face through the entire ordeal and politely thanked everyone for their gifts, for which his grandmother gave him a look of approval at least he got something out of this embarrassing situation.

Charlie on the other hand tore into his presents like a niffler searching for shiny objects. At least his sister rose had the decency to not tear the wrapping paper with her bare hands and opened the gifts properly.

Most of the gifts they got were just toys which he reckons a child his age would appreciate but for harry, these are just some more things he can practice his Transfiguration on.

The only gifts that stood out to him were given by his uncle Sirius and his grandfather. Sirius gifted a crup puppy for all three of them, Harry remembers charlie begging his parents for a dog after he saw Sirius in his animagus form. The small puppy is white with black spots on him and the only thing different from a normal dog is his small forked tail.

Harry's grandfather on the other hand got all three of them brand new brooms, three latest Cleansweep Seven broomsticks one for each of them. Harry should have expected this, his grandfather Charlus Potter is a Quidditch fanatic.

As soon as Charlie saw the brooms he charged faster than a Unicorn towards the brooms, within seconds he was on the broom flying all over the place. He is natural with the broom just like their father.

All three of them were given training brooms after they turned five, Harry having experienced racing brooms before was not interested but Charlie spent a lot of time on those brooms.

Rose on the other hand didn't like brooms because of her poor balance. But seeing how their grandfather gifted them brand new brooms rose also got on the broom and slowly started to fly.

It all seemed fine and everyone was watching Charlie do tricks with the broom when Rose suddenly lost her grip on the broom and started falling. Before Harry could even think his body was already moving, he rushed towards his falling sister but he was not going to make it in time. So harry raised his hand and used his magic, rose who was falling suddenly started slowing down and came to a complete stop just a few inches above the ground.

Seeing that his sister was safe harry slowly shifted rose into an upright position before gently putting her on the ground. Only after that did he notice that everyone is looking at him in shock. He could see that his parents already had their wands in their hands to save his sister but he acted before they could. But now the problem is that a room full of witches and wizards just saw him perform wandless magic, maybe he can pretend that it was just accidental magic.
