Chapter -5| The beginning of dark.

Chapter-5.

A boy in his mid-twenties was sleeping in a room littered with fast food and beverages, the atmosphere outside the room was quite rainy, and a continuous thunderclap added a tinge of threat to that drizzled setting.

Kachak*

The dark room was illuminated by bright light, which was followed by a loud thunderclap that could steal someone's soul.

"Ugh... you filthy beast, stay away from me." The soundly sleeping boy jolted awake and threw both of his hands in the air, as if attempting to push away something dreadful.

For a brief moment, the boy made these strange movements before realizing that nothing was attacking him now.

Calming down, the boy drew in a lot of cold air before sweeping his gaze around.

"Why the hell am I in a dustbin now?" he grumbled, looking around at all the litter that had been dumped around the bed he was sleeping on.

The boy raised his hand to wipe away the sweat that had accumulated via his nightmare.

Touch*

'wait! Can I now touch myself?' The boy frantically poked himself with his fingers, struggling to believe in himself, 'No, I'm actually able to touch myself now.'

This young man had died recently and then woke up in some random bright hall where he find out that he couldn't even touch himself or any other thing, and then abruptly some random reincarnation AI popped up in front of him, and when he clicked yes, ignoring red flags his other part of consciousness could sense, he was transported into a dark room where a bloody foul zombie attacked him coming out a damn television.

He knew where that damned zombie had emerged from, but he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a scene that could only happen in movies unfold in front of his eyes: That shit was utterly terrifying.

"Am I still alive now that I can breathe and touch these other random things?" The young man made an attempt to get out of bed.

Thud.

However instead of getting himself out of the bed, his foot slipped on an empty drink can that had been thrown away and he acquired himself another place to sleep among the litter.

'What on earth is this place?' as the young man tried to get back to his senses, an abundance of entangled memories rushed inside his brain.

Two different people's lives were depicted in these memories. The first was that of Ayato Eiji, an orphan who was adopted by a kind thug, later turned into another thug, and died while having his time with the boss's girlfriend.

The second one was of this guy whose name was the same as his, ayato eiji; however, this eiji was nothing like the former as all he did was study and when it came to earning money and getting a job, he turned into a shut-in otaku who lived on instant noodles and drinks and eventually died of heart failure.

"Why am I in this looser body? Didn't that AI say I'd be reborn if I clicked yes?" Ayato yelled, his gaze fixed on the empty ceiling because as a self disciplined thug he hated this type of punk who gave away in the middle stage of their life.

However, there was no response, and in its place, a bright light and a thunderous roar of the thunder filled the littered room.

'Am I going to die again?' Ayato stumbled backward, his consciousness crumbling into nothingness.

Ding.

Because reincarnation is currently prohibited, the host has been transmigrated instead.

[Scene change]

Hanabira bridge

A black truck with a sign of a star that was painted in red and black and looked like it was bleeding arrives on a platform beneath the very end of the Hanabira Bridge.

With the loud noise of the piston, half a dozen people rushed out of the truck, dressed in a peculiar appearance seen only in horror apocalypse movies.

"Hurry up, we don't have much time." a man dressed in a red apocalypse suit said as he examined the camera installed beneath the bridge, which was alarming a yellow light, indicating that it was malfunctioning.

Hearing the red suit man's instructions, the others accelerated their pace and began to take out seal-packed containers from the vehicle.

"Be careful, if you damage it even slightly, we'll all die here." Suddenly, a man came out from the driver's seat; he had no suit on and his words did not match his actions as he came towards the sealed containers and moved his finger across the surface and then came backwards.

The man in the red suit and the driver stood silently by as the other worked hard to dump the nuclear or whatever waste was in the river.

"How much did you guys have to pay for this?" The driver inquired abruptly, lighting a cigarette and puffing out a circle of smoke.

The man in the red suit, however, didn't appear to be in the mood to converse as he completely disregarded the driver and continued to count the number of containers that were tossed into the river.

"Come on, don't be shy, we both work for the company." Puffing out another circle of smoke, the driver said.

Even though the man in the red suit had completed his journey here with him but still he didn't appear interested in chatting with a mere driver whose work is nothing significant in his eyes, he flinched a little when he overheard the driver mention the company in his conversation.

"So they'd send you to clean up the mess," he grumbled.

"Oh, you're quite astute, you just figured out my identity from a single sentence." The driver smirked as he moved towards the back of the truck.

"Is this the last one?" The driver asked the laborer who had been about to roll the container into the river.

"yes." Giving the container one last push, the worker stated.

"Okay then, everybody get back in the truck and you'll get your payment with an extra bonus after the immunisation." With a cheesy smile on his face, the driver stated.

Knowing what was going to happen next, the red-suited man who was writing something on his notepad stopped and approached the driver.

"Ah, Mr. Suit Guy, why don't you count their numbers, you know we don't want to waste our bonus package,

Hearing what the driver had said, the red suit guy began to count the number of workers who returned back to the truck.

"OK, that's six in total." The driver said, and the guy in the red suit shut the backdoor's shutter.
