"I WANT TO TAKE YOU OUT," I told Mia as our bodies lay tangled together in bed.

Her eyes lit up and then she frowned before shaking her head. "No, I like the sound of a quiet evening at home."

She was lying... for me. She absolutely would love to go out, be wined and dined, but the thought of her face ending up in the tabloids again had her running scared. I'd anticipated this outcome, though, and got everything set up as best I could.

"Don't worry, I've got it all covered. Trust me?"

"I trust you."

It blew my mind how easily she trusted me after I'd broken her trust. It was a gift I didn't intend to throw away. That's why I'd pulled out all the stops for our dinner. I'd closed down an entire place. No one would be there to cause issues.
