VOLUME TWO: SAVING THE GOVERNOR
VIOLET
I SAT at my desk looking at all the applications. I'd gone over a dozen already, and I was getting a massive headache. This whole thing was all my fault. Usually when someone came into office, it was a simple transition. My first days as governor had gone fine, but now I was back in Paradise because of threats made against me. Not too many people had issues with my policies, but then again, those people didn't vote for me... Everyone in politics had those, though.
I apparently had crazy people who didn't vote for me. I'd been getting threatening mail since the day I'd entered office. There's nothing to it, but the higher ups insisted I get a security guard because the mail had been getting more aggressive. I didn't become one of our state's youngest governors without turning heads.
