Humanity's breakthrough

Earth: 2045

It has been fifteen years since the world changed. Mystical things people only ever saw on anime was now ever present on earth.

About fifteen years ago a solar eclipse occured in the sky, everyone was hurled up to observe the eclipse, which turned out not to be an eclipse but a black hole or more like a rift in the sky.

Some scientist tried to make sense of the scenario by trying to run some test on the rift. They gave some theories in physics suggesting that the rift could be caused by disturbances in the fabric of space-time, perhaps due to the presence of a black hole or a wormhole which might have created the appearance of a tear or opening in the sky.

Others thought it could be caused by a massive gravitational waves or magnetic disturbances, perhaps from a nearby celestial event like a supernova or a massive cosmic collision or even possibly be a gateways or portals to other dimensions or parallel universes and the rifts could be caused by an advanced technology, powerful energy fields, or natural cosmic events that create a connection between different realities.

There were so many theories but nobody ever thought that the peaceful rift that just stayed open could present a terrifying existence that threatened the existence of humanity.

It started on a peaceful day when the scientist noticed that the energy wave of the rift began to go off chart signifying an instability. They began to panic thinking the rift was about to explode and began to evacuate the site. 

The slightly opened rift became larger as a terrifying chill ran across the whole earth. It started with a giant claw which came out of the rift followed closely by its whole body, soon thousand of terrifying creatures of different sizes was out of the rift roaring to the sky and shaking the earth to it's core.

The terrifying creatures decided they had to take over the new world for themselves but first they had to exterminate the dwellers there, cautiously they attacked but after noticing the humans stood no chance against them they launched a full on slaughter.

Countries who prided themselves with powerful weapon stood no chance against those creatures who just shook off their powerful attack like nothing. 

Chaos was everywhere and human were on their last leg.

The will of the universe who observed everything was suddenly alerted after sensing a powerful and ancient beam arrive on earth.

"Is that a divinity?" It thought.

"What could it want on a perishing planet?"

It suddenly felt a tug in the line of Earth's fate.

"It seems fate wants the humans to survive, very well then only this once shall I intervane in their problems"

It took on its avatar form and flew close to earth.

"It's time for you to wake up Yen your dwellers need you" 

Her voice traveled deep into the earth and straight to it's core which glowed brightly upon being called. For the first time since creation of the sentiment of Earth awakened. It glowed in appreciation to the will and took action by immediately pulling mana to itself and granted human the ability to wield it's power along with the knowledge.

"Now let's see it the earthlings will pick up the fight and survive or simply just die, and I'll like to see what that divinity will do" the will said as it observed earth.

When humans found out they could control mana, everyone of the fighting age gathered together making their stand and fighting with everything they had even at the face of death nobody cowherd they left all of their differences for the sake of their survival.

At the cost of their lives humans broke through they finally won after a year of fighting they won.

"Hmm what a surprise, but still what's more surprising is the choice of the divinity I wonder why it choose that human baby" it could see a difficult twist in the child's fate.

"Any way a little help for earth wouldn't hurt right" it waved it's hand and the massive rift turned into a dongeon. With that it went back to rest.

Dongeons frequently appear here and there, but humans were ready for it and always cleared it successfully.

Fifteen years later government had managed to regain control over the earth with the help of the elite force, which are specially trained and a made up of individuals with special powers.

The government started the program with children without parent or guardian and groomed them into a special unit and gradually people began to see how much progress the elite force had over the normal population so people took their children to training camps all over the earth.

Through the influence of need for more power people began to submit to the control of the government but still the government couldn't hold all the power as there were still rich and powerful families who survived the war and was able to stand above the crowd.

In one of the camps was a boy who lost his family to the calamity when he was five, hardly could he remember his parents or what they looked like he literally have no memory about anything. He simply opened his eyes under a ruble and was found by some scouting solider checking the perimeters for any survival.

That was the beginning of his memories up until this time. He frequently have nightmares of shards of memories which didn't make any sense.

"Big brother!!" A cute voice called out to him snapping him out of his thoughts.

"You blanked out on me again big brother just what is going on in your head?" she asked with a frown on her cute face.

"I umm.."

"Are you worried about the ability you'll get on your baptism?"

"Maybe?" He simply shrugged.

"I know you'll do great. Big brother is the best!!" she jumped hugging him close.

"Yea I guess" he awkwardly said.

"Thanks Ashley" he patted her head.

She had a red hair, big round adorable emerald green eyes and a rosey red lip, she was two years younger than him but somehow made herself his family, although she did have a family in fact she was the daughter of one of the very first elite force ever introduced to earth. He father was known as'The Thunder dragon' who was second best to the leader of the elite force which was pleasantly surprising to people.

Drema was currently fourteen years old the age when children are baptized to finally have the ability to wield an element. He had a purple hair and a unique swirling purple and red eyes which no one in the whole earth had for an eye color. He was one of the best trainee and no obstacle course was too difficult for him to perform, making many commander observe him closely in order to take him under their wing once got his special ability.

"You're welcome now let's go have breakfast before we miss it like last time because you were slurping around" she giggled and draged him down to the cafeteria.

After getting their food they went to table 'A' which belonged to the gifted students. The students around the table nodded at him in acknowledgment except one guy who simply rolled his eyes at him.

"Hey pumpkin tomorrow's gonna be the day we finally know who's the best. You know at the end of the day they best ability gets the best spot. Am just reminding you so you don't get too sad when you get a trashy ability"

The students simply ignored him as they are used to him being jealous of Drema.

"Does that reminder also apply to you as well Eric when you get a trashy ability" Diana who was fed up of his bullshit decided to tease him.

He simply huffed.

"Am sorry to break it to you Diana but trash can only belong to trash like you all" he answered yawning tiredly.

Everyone gritted their teeth holding back the urge punch that jerk on his face because he was the son of a power leader which no one wanted to get on his blacklist.

"When you say trash Eric do you also mean me cause you must have forgotten am also part of this group" Ashley asked while raising a brow.

'Hell will she allow anyone to bully her big brother'she frowned folding her arms.

"Umm no I was just.." he tried to say while sweating buckets, he had completely forgotten that this mice always stuck to that trash.

"I... um I think am full I better hurry to training hall" he haistenly retreated while cursing under his breath.

"Just you all wait, we'll see who laughs last" he smirked evily.

Drema watched his retreating back while having a strong feeling of dread but he decided to keep it to himself.

"Good one Ashley" Diana said giving her an high five.

"Yea he thinks he's the only big shot here"

"Men I wished I could have punched him on the face"

They all laughed it off talking about tomorrow's baptism and how excited they were about it.
