CHAPTER FORTY ONE: AN EXPOSITORY OF THE PAST( PART 35); My New Boyfriend!

"He is...my...my...new boyfriend." She mustered up her courage and spoke up.

That statement made both Mike and the young man widen their eyes in surprise. Both of them could not believe what they had just heard. Mike did not give up, he instead showed her a boarding pass.

"I am not going to believe you. I will choose to continue striving." Mike stated as he accompanied her to the boarding gate.

Ryleigh Georgia ignored him and walked over to check-in, she showed her passport at the security and afterwards decided to go and shop some duty-free goods. She bought some potato crisps, chocolate cream biscuits and a bottle of fruit juice. After that she headed to the departure lounge to board her flight.

She then boarded the plane and walked up to her seat then sat down that is after she has showed her boarding pass to a flight attendant at the gate. She slumped at her seat and started looking outside through the window. She could only see the pathway lights to her side all gleaming and beaming up.

Soon, all the people had boarded including the young man and Mike Anderson. The flight was about to take off and the pilot and co pilot informed everybody. The young man sat in front of her and Mike Anderson at her back.

After a few minutes, the flight took off. Clement Linux moved his glance and started working on his pending work. After a few minutes, the seatbelt signs were turned off and he switched on to full work mode. As it was a super early flight, the lights were switched off for the people to sleep. Clement Linux had his reading light on to complete his pending work on his Laptop. He did not fully concentrate on his work as he long and slender fingers moved swifty across the keyboard because he was still puzzled by the situation that he had been involved in.

Ryleigh Georgia had tried sleeping but could not since Mike kept on disturbing her by calling out her name and messing her hair. He did it again, Ryleigh Georgia could no longer take it. She stood up and walked to the washroom, she fixed her hair and then walked back to her seat and slept immediately. She ignored all the attempts from Mike Anderson to capture her attention.

After all the people had woken up, the flight attendants started distributing small boxes of complementary assorted Swiss chocolates. Ryleigh Georgia tore the wrapping of the chocolates and nibbled on two of them. Since her mother's departure, she had completely lost interest in sweet candies.

It was late in the evening when Ryleigh Georgia's plane landed in Pavasaris International Airport. She got off and headed to the carousel where she picked up her suitcase. She then wheeled it to the black SUV car which her father had sent to pick her up. On her way out, she met the young man who had helped her, she stared at him for a while. She had noticed his distinct features: his long, sharp nose, his fierce eyebrows, his pinkish lips, his velvety eyelashes, his reddish ears and his milky pupils.

"Thank you," Ryleigh Georgia stated before she left.

"You're welcome." He replied.

She adjusted her shades with her forefinger and walked to the vehicle. The driver took her suitcase and placed it inside the trunk and then opened the door for her, she sat in the car and the driver boarded it too and the car drove off at a terrific speed.

Ryleigh georgia was ready to face her father after five years abroad.

Rylee Athena had already bought candles, confetti and fairy lights to decorate the room. She placed the fairy lights in the shape of a heart. She then 9placed balloons on the balcony. She filled balloons with confetti and 9placed them all round the room. She then walked to the kitchen to bake the cake. Raymond Oliver had already informed her that Ali Maddox loved mint  flavour. She had bought the ingredients and she started by mixing the dough, breaking the eggs, adding sugar and salt,and mint flavoured powder then mix, mix and mix.

She then placed the meringue in a baking tray and placed it in the oven at medium heat.

After the cake was ready, she frosted it , placed candles on it and placed it in the oven. Afterwards, she took it out, frosted it, decorated it , placed candles on it and placed it in the fridge.

The crowds gradually started disappearing as evening approached and darkness began creeping in but the crowds grew steadily again as the night market started operating. Crowds swarm around for night snacks at the various food stalls and restaurants near the theatre or to pick up some good bargains. At that time, Pavasaris was a sea of lights. It was indeed the liveliest street, busy all day long and into the night, in the heart of Pavasaris, the nation's capital.

Ali Maddox arrived at home, he took off his shoes and put on his slippers. He threw his briefcase on the couch and sat down for a sip of water. When he was done, be climbed up the flight of stairs to his room. He took a bath and descended to the living room. When he saw the decorations, he thought that Rylee Athena had had a party.

Just as he was about to sit down on the couch, he heard a shriek voice call out his name and immediately the lights in the room went off leaving the fairy lights to flicker and gleam. Once Rylee Athena noted that she had captured his attention, she ran to the kitchen and took the cake from the fridge. She lit up the candles and got back to Ali Maddox in the living room.

"Happy birthday, Ali Maddox." Rylee Athena said as she approached him while smiling amiably exposing her eggshell white teeth and holding the cake." I made a mint flavoured cake for you."

Ali Maddox glanced at her face with the faint glow of the flickering candles. Her face looked exquisite.

"Blow out the candles and make a wish!" Rylee Athena told him. The bright smile never left her face.

Ali Maddox closed his eyes and blowed off the candles while Rylee Athena sang the happy birthday song with her sweet, melodious voice.

"I'll cut the cake and feed you and you vice versa." Rylee Athena said quickly. She was at least glad that he had not walked away but had remained.

"Why is Christopher Connor not coming?"

"He is busy with Ryleigh Georgia." Ali Maddox replied feeling disappointed.

She took the knife and cut the cake into four equal pieces. She took one with the fork and fed him. The cake was a really delicious than he had expected.Ali Maddox had to comply, he picked up the fork, pushed it into the cake and fed Rylee Athena. Ali Maddox went to his room afterwards.

Rylee Athena sat down on her desk and decided to take on the challenge as a punishment to Ryleigh Georgia for what she did but what she did not know was that Ryleigh Georgia had already taken up the mission.
