Blackbeard always had a big dream. He wanted to create a crew of really strong pirates. So, when he saw five devil fruits near Adonis, he became excited.
"Zehahahaha, they were actually reborn near that person, does he have some kind of power. What is it?" Blackbeard laughed.
Carnel thought for a while and said, "Maybe luck?"
"Hmph, it doesn't matter what power it is. After Teach takes the Quake Fruit, Teach will take that guy's power and those other Devil Fruits," Kikipatsu said, looking down on the situation.
Blackbeard stopped thinking about those fruits and looked at Whitebeard, who was in the middle of a battle. He thought, "That old guy isn't doing so well anymore."
He knew the time had come!
"Zehahahaha," he laughed, his usual laugh.
Blackbeard boldly led his crew out of hiding and confronted Whitebeard. They were facing each other with a lot of confidence.
Sengoku, with anger in his voice, "Blackbeard, how dare you bring those criminals from Impel Down to Marineford?"
"Zehahahaha," Blackbeard said with arrogance, "I became a Warlord just to sneak into Impel Down and find a crew."
Whitebeard, who was seriously injured and close to death, looked at Blackbeard with cold eyes. Now, he didn't see the Navy in front of him, only a traitor who had to be stopped.
Whitebeard exclaimed with rage, "Teach, you're the only one not worthy to be my son!"
"You broke the one rule on my ship, killing your own comrades. I'll take your life and put an end to everything!"
"Let's settle this, Teach," Whitebeard said, showing signs of exhaustion.
Blackbeard grinned even wider, saying, "That's exactly what I want."
With those words, darkness surrounded his body, and he launched himself towards Whitebeard. A cloud of black smoke covered the battlefield where the two were clashing. Although, Blackbeard boasted about how strong his Dark Fruit was.
However, Blackbeard was overly confident and foolish to think that Whitebeard had reached his current position relying solely on the Quake Fruit. He swaggered toward Whitebeard without realizing the full extent of the challenge he was about to face.
Then, a knife sliced through his chest, and he pleaded for mercy, tears streaming down his face. He cried out, "Pops, are you really going to kill me? I'm your own son!"
However, Whitebeard showed no compassion toward his former subordinate. It was just that he was profoundly fatigued, too exhausted to wield his full power. An incoming attack caused Whitebeard's body to tremble incessantly.
Blackbeard then fixed his gaze on Whitebeard, witnessing him trembling but getting back on his feet.
Whitebeard on the other hand summoned every ounce of his remaining strength, his body turning red and steaming as he struggled to move closer to Blackbeard, preparing to deliver the final, decisive blow.
Terrified, Blackbeard had long forgotten about the powers of the Dark Fruit, in a moment of desperation, he ignobly drew his pistol and pulled the trigger.
In the end, Whitebeard's fist, fueled by the last vestiges of his strength, descended upon Blackbeard.
But before that, Blackbeard's bullet pierced Whitebeard's chest proved to be the final straw that drained Whitebeard of his remaining strength.
However, Blackbeard remained far from at ease and instructed his companion to tend to his wound and assist him.
The criminals he had helped escape Impel down showed no mercy. They brandished their guns and swords, relentlessly attacking Whitebeard and inflicting fresh wounds upon him.
Enduring countless assaults, Whitebeard managed to utter his last words: "ONE PIECE is real!" With those words, he rose to his feet one last time and peacefully closed his eyes.
This turn of events left Blackbeard in shock. Yet, he remained focused again in his mission. He shrouded both himself and Whitebeard's body in a black like mist, concealing their actions from prying eyes.
After more than ten seconds of silence, Blackbeard's voice, now filled with panic, emanated from beneath the black cloth, saying, "No? No? How can this be?! Wait..."
Blackbeard appeared to have had a realization. He lifted the black cloth and stepped out, gazing at the Moby Dick from a distance.
Indeed, there was a sixth Devil Fruit manifesting near that man.
With a headache, Blackbeard furiously shouted, "How did you manage this?! You've actually stolen the Quake Fruit right from my hands!"
Everyone presents followed Blackbeard's gaze towards the Moby Dick, and what they saw left them utterly astonished.
Despite the chaotic battlefield, there stood a man on the Moby Dick. It was as though the intense battle from moments ago had no connection to him. Even more astounding were the six Devil Fruit phantoms hovering beside him.
"This... Is it Devil Fruit rebirth?"
"Why are they all centered around that man? What's happening here?"
"Could I be seeing things?"
This scene surpassed their wildest imaginations.
Normally, after a Devil Fruit user's death, the fruit randomly reappears somewhere in the sea? Why were they all reborn near that man now? What was happening here? And more importantly, who was he, and why didn't he join the battle?
Amidst the ruined battlefield, Garp and Sengoku stood side by side, their brows furrowed as they observed Adonis.
"Sengoku, what are your thoughts on this?" Garp asked.
Sengoku pondered for a moment and then shook his head. "I don't know. If Devil Fruits truly come from the sea, then it seems like the sea is favoring him."
Garp offered a different perspective with a thoughtful expression. "A miracle?"
"Also, do you recall that strange incident at the beginning of the war on the Moby Dick?"
Sengoku showed a hint of recollection and nodded, saying, "I remember it. Although I hate to admit it, it seemed like the cannonballs deliberately avoided hitting the Moby Dick."
