"Where should we go next? To buy a robe or to buy a book first?" Braun suggested.

"Let's buy the book first. I'm eager to dive into the textbooks!" Hermione replied impatiently.

She was still awestruck by the grandeur of Gringotts, and now she couldn't wait to immerse herself in magical knowledge.

Braun shrugged and led the three of them toward Flourish and Blotts Bookstore.

The store wasn't bustling with too many people at the moment, but for a small bookstore, it was still crowded. The Grangers remained outside with Cassatt, except for Braun and Hermione.

"Over here, Hermione!" Braun waved back.

Since Hogwarts textbooks don't change every year, Flourish and Blotts Bookstore had already packed the textbooks for the new students.

Hearing Braun's call, Hermione tore her eyes away from the peculiar books. Just as she was about to run over, she accidentally bumped into an arrogant-looking young man in a suit, knocking each other to the ground.

"Sorry, sorry! I'm so sorry!" Hermione quickly apologized and tried to help him up, but he pushed her away.

"Go away! Mudblood! Don't touch me with your dirty hands!" the boy spat disdainfully.

Hermione couldn't help but be taken aback. On the other hand, Braun's expression changed upon hearing the derogatory term.

"Malfoy! Apologize to Hermione!" Braun stepped forward, his voice firm.

"Braun?" Draco raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Although they were all pure-bloods, they had seen each other at various banquets, but there was no friendship. Seeing Braun defend a Muggle-born witch made Draco naturally angry. He sneered and said, "You're friends with a Mudblood? I bet your uncle will scold you severely when he finds out! Or has the death of your parents driven you out of your mind?"

These words made Braun's expression turn colder. Although he had never met his biological parents, he felt a strong connection to them. He wouldn't tolerate others insulting them.

Malfoy couldn't say anything more, and the rage mixed with fear was evident in his eyes. Those eyes seemed to possess a certain magical power, making Draco, who was originally sneering, look dull and finally terrified, letting out a scream. The unpleasant odor of urine filled the air as Draco collapsed on the ground, unconscious.

"Hmph! I'm just teaching you a little lesson! I hope you'll be more respectful in the future," Braun coldly remarked to the unconscious Malfoy. This was a technique he had figured out—pulling the other party into an illusion to make them experience fear and mentally subdue them. It was just a minor lesson for Malfoy. Resting for a few more days would have no lasting impact on his body.

However, before he could turn away, he heard a roar, followed by a spell. Before he could fully register what happened, he was blasted into the wall. Ignoring the pain, he turned around to see Lucius standing beside Draco, looking shocked and angry.

"How dare you! How dare you use soul magic on my son," Lucius shouted.

Upon hearing the commotion, Cassatt rushed over to Braun's side, standing protectively in front of him, and glared at Lucius.

"Braun, are you okay?" Hermione helped Braun to his feet, worry evident in her eyes.

"I'm fine," Braun reassured her calmly, though his gaze towards Lucius turned indifferent. In his scarlet eyes, the tomoe began to spin slowly. He still had a disadvantage in magical power against Lucius, but this was Diagon Alley. The other party wouldn't dare to use dark magic here. With Cassatt's assistance to resist damage, he had a significant advantage. He knew it was time to fight. He tried to activate Sharingan, but before he could, a witch with a stern expression stepped in between them.

"Lucius! I don't think it's appropriate to attack a child who hasn't even started school," she said.

Seeing the woman's appearance, Lucius Malfoy, who was initially arrogant, also lowered his noble head, though it was begrudgingly.

"Professor McGonagall! You should ask the Rowle family's child first! He was the one who used soul magic on my son," Lucius insisted.

Professor McGonagall turned to Braun, but before he could speak, Hermione quickly intervened, "No, ma'am... This happened because of me... Malfoy called me a Mudblood, and Braun got angry on my behalf. Also, he mentioned Braun's parents."

Hermione explained the incident in detail, directing Professor McGonagall's anger towards Lucius.

"'Mudblood'? Lucius! You should understand what a vile term this is! Is this the so-called nobility of the Malfoy family?" Professor McGonagall rebuked.

Lucius' face turned a shade darker, and though he disapproved, Professor McGonagall's next words left him utterly flustered.

"Furthermore! Openly insulting the orphan of a healer who was awarded the Order of Merlin, 3rd Class! Is this the so-called pure-blood nobility? It seems I need to have a serious discussion with the director of St. Mungo's Hospital about this! Let's see if they'll admit such a person for treatment in the future!"

At this moment, the witnessing wizards also raised their voices in indignation.
