The years gone by

It was early in the morning, prince nate stood in front of the the palace court, with prince jers while Prince keystone sat on the throne inside the Court.

As he saw the ministers and the other princes carriage, he and prince jers entered inside the palace court.

"Your majesty, we the ministers don't understand why our properties has to be seized, please tell us",the right chancellor pleaded.

" 7th prince ,were their properties seized",prince keystone asked prince nate calmly.

" Yes, your majesty but right chancellor, you said you were not well, how a

The right chancellor scowled and grunted," your highness, am grateful for your care, I am well".

Prince nate chuckled," so seizing your properties healed you".

Prince nate glanced at all the ministers in the court,and he was both furious and heartbroken.

Prince nate exhaled," you're the ones that suppose to guide the prince regent,yet you are the one that wants to break him.

People say elders guide the youths with their wisdom,now tell me what you're doing?".

They all were quiet and nonchalant about what prince nate was saying.

Prince Nate walked and stepped in front of the right chancellor," you all even came earlier than usual,because I seized your properties".

He stood in front,facing all the ministers," Do you all have no Shame that you want the regent king to die like the late crown prince,how dare you",he said in pain.

"how dare you say that!",prince Nate yelled.

" You slander us your highness,we wish for the regent king to live long",the right minister said nonchalantly.

" Long live his majesty!",he yelled and the other ministers followed him.

The right minister continued," but his majesty hasn't told us why our properties were seized".

Prince nate walked back to his position and stood there while prince keystone spoke," do you still want an answer to that question?,7th prince can you tell them the answer to that question".

" Yes,your majesty",prince nate answered.

Prince nate began," I just reminded them that though that they are powerful nobles,the royals are more powerful,we are power itself"." I reminded them that the position and things they enjoy can be taken by us within a single day".

" Your highness,our ancestors helped to build this country and__",the right minister was speaking but prince nate cut him off.

" Your ancestors helped to build this country,but did any of them become king?".prince nate turned to the ministers," did any of them become a king!,no!,but my ancestors were all kings".

They pretended not to hear him," your majesty,please reconsider your decision!",they chorused loudly.

Prince nate continued," it wasn't the king that seized your properties but me.the regent king only gave me the permission".

He exhaled," I'll return your properties,but I will say this,if you won't respect the regent king,no matter your age and position,you can forget about your positions,there are many talents that envy your position and can even handle matters more than you,be warned".

After that the ministers respected the prince regent.

Prince karl and prince aris couldn't accept the the 4th prince being the king regent so they knelt in front of the king's residence but he never came out,so they left.

People even feared the 7th prince,prince nate more than the king.

Prince nate received another letter from loren.

[How have you been,did you celebrate your 18th birthday well?,I really miss you.

Let me tell you what I experienced through the months.

Me,my friends and other soldiers were told to catch the most feared north bandits leader.

Prince nate hoped loren will come back before he turned 19 but he didn't.

It was more than two years already,he was worried,he didn't even receive any letters from loren the past months.

He later got a report that there was a battle at the north border.loren became an acting lieutenant of the north as the former lieutenant passed away.But hasn't been given the title by the king.

He heard that loren fought like a wounded lion, on a horse,slaying the enemies.

A message was sent to the generals at different provinces.

The battle ended,they didn't lose many men but they respected the dead.

Vitskit almost died but he survived.His two front upper teeths were gone and he wailed.

Vitskit looked at loren,"loren,who will marry a man with two broken teeth,i am now ugly",he wailed.

They tried to comfort him but then dibengi told vitskit to smile and they couldn't hold their laughter.

" Die!,dibengi!",vitskit yelled.

And they laughed.

Vitskit glanced at lorens silver chain on his hand," where did you get this?",he touched it.

" Hey,are you serious ?are you just seeing it now,it's been on his wrist since we came here",non answered.

Vitskit looked surprised," from your lover?".

Loren nodded.

The three were in awe.

" Loren,tell us,how does she looked like",vitskit whined.

Loren stood up," leave my matters and let's face non,did you know that non engaged a girl back in the capital".

Vitskit was in awe," non!",he yelled," tell me,how does she look like?".

Dibengi glanced at loren," are you joking about having a lover?".

Loren just smiled and went to his chamber to write a letter as he hasn't written for months and was unable to reply nate's letters.

After writing the letter,he kissed the chain passionately,"am coming back,my love".
