Chapter 42 Callan Arrived Swiftly

Kaydence saw Annabelle standing in silence and assumed her threats were taking effect.

She walked over, smug, switching to a conciliatory tone. "Annabelle, we are family after all. It's only right you help with your father's treatment. Besides, with your high earnings, even if you don't want to get involved, why not let Mr. Clay help? It's not like it's your money."

Annabelle turned to look at Kaydence. "Don't you feel any shame acting this way?"

Kaydence clenched her fists. If it weren't for Callan's presence, she would've already slapped Annabelle.

Feeling there was nothing left to say to the ungrateful Annabelle, Kaydence turned to Callan.

"Mr. Clay, about the matter I mentioned on the phone..."

Callan's voice was cold. "I came to consult Annabelle. If she agrees, I will provide the 60 million dollars. But it seems..."
