CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Ash’s POV

When I woke up and remembered why I fainted— Bile and panic rose from my belly— The world tilted behind my eyes and I felt like the rug was yanked underneath me, leaving me to stare at the dull sky and couldn’t get up forever. Left forever to die here and wallow in self pity.

I ran to the bathroom and vomited everything. I retched and retched,

A picture of Jace flashed before my eyes and I knew right then when people said, ‘when you die, your life flashes in front of you’ but I wasn’t dying yet but I knew it my life flashing before my eyes.

Jace was my life in the way it matters.

I knew, I knew that this kind of love wasn’t for the faint of heart. Not when your lover was on another continent, putting his life on the life everyday, right this second.
