Chapter 8: Lunch

It's almost lunch time and he has confirmed that he is going to have lunch with us! I can find out his favorite things to do and his favorite food and color. My friends are excited to meet new people and I am excited to meet his friends since I haven't properly met them. Sure I've had class with them here and there maybe a group project but now I get to see them as people or friends and not as classmates that have nothing to do with me. Though as I think about it that's a harsh way to put it. But either way I'm excited to meet them!

*Bell Rings*

The bell rung people start to pour out of the classrooms either to lunch or the next class. I go along with the crowd to go to lunch. On the way I see my friends and after a few moments we're all together again. We walk into the cafeteria laughing and talking. Then I see Tyler and his friends.

Jenny: Hey they're over there

Kelly: Oh! Them! I never caught their names since I'm so bad at names!

Jenny: Oh do you know them?

Emily speaks up sounding astonished.

Emily: OF COURSE WE KNOW THEM! Well... Mostly it's only a few people in the friend group. It's amazing how you got in contact with them!

Jenny: Are they that popular?

I chuckled at how their eyes seemed to almost pop out of their eye sockets.

Emily: This is no laughing matter!

Rose: Yeah they are that popular but not as popular as Jake but they are very close in popularity. Especially one of them. How did you get in contact with them anyways?

Emily: Maybe with the nice one?

Rose: Maybe because this is like some sort of miracle! We can't really even walk up to them they're on another level. Kelly tried to talk to one of them, I'll point them out when we get closer. But! He completely ignored Kelly! I mean we weren't that popular that time but many have tried to get in contact with that same person and they got ignored or rejected! But another one in the group is so sweet. He tries to reject in the nicest way possible if he even tries to reject you. He is really sweet and the other person is-

Jenny: Calm down I get it. Anyways me and Tyler bumped into each other the first day of school and we've somewhat been friends. The only reason we're having lunch with them is because I want to repay Tyler for something he did and it was really nice of him to do so that is why I want to repay him.

Aurora: That's him! The cold hearted guy who rejected our poor Kelly! At least she got over it so Jenny if you want to get with him good luck and we'll support you.

She pointed at Tyler. I never knew Tyler would be labeled as cold hearted he's really sweet! Or at least to me apparently.

Jenny: That's...

Lucy: You know his name?!!

Jenny: Umm.... Yeah....? That's... Tyler.

Lucy: The guy who has been sweet to you?

Jenny: Yeah that's him.

Lucy: Are we looking at the same person?

Kelly: Yeah are you sure that's Tyler?

Bella: Yeah that's Tyler.

Kelly: How do you know?

Bella: I've seen them talk to each other. Can't believe he's nice to Jenny.

Jenny: Maybe he's turned over a new leaf.

Bella: Maybe.

Jenny: Anyways lets go.

I drag them with me to their table.

Friend 1: That's the girl you were talking about or is it another one of Aaron's fangirls?

Aaron? : I think that's the girl and her friends. Right Tyler?

Tyler: Yeah that's her.

Jenny: Hey Tyler these are my friends. These are Kelly, Emily, Bella, Rose, Aurora, and Lucy!

Tyler: These are Aaron, Aiden, Corey, George, Darius, and Lucas. I'm Tyler and you forgot to introduce yourself.

Jenny: Oh yeah! I'm Jenny. It's nice to meet all of you.

Tyler and his friends: Nice to meet you and you guys too.

Jenny's friends: Nice to meet you too!

We all laughed and talked together. I learned a bit about Tyler too! They also invited us to go to the café next to the school for lunch tomorrow. I have some sort of idea of what to get him either sugar cookies or chocolate or I could get him and his friends and mine tickets for a game. Everyone would have to pay their ticket except for Tyler since it would be a thank you gift. We all got along quite well so that was good.

After lunch we go our separate ways. My friends are all so surprised that they talked with Tyler's friends.

Kelly: Wow that happened.

Lucy: Never thought I would talk to them.

Aurora: Right.

Emily: Never would've known

Bella: And we'll talk to them again.

Rose: Yeah and really soon.

Jenny: You guys are making it out to be such a big deal.

Aurora: It is!!! You know how many people have tried! And you and Tyler seemed so close to you. No one has been able to be that close to him except his friends!

Emily: Yeah! You are so lucky!

Kelly: Yup. Time for a celebration! My house after school.

Jenny: Sorry I won't be able to make it I have homework and stuff to do.

Kelly: Oh ok well good luck on that! Everyone else in?

Everyone: Yeah!

Jenny: Well I'll text you guys to check up if you guys are still alive.

Lucy: Ok we'll await your text in the group chat.

Aurora: Yep to see if you're also alive!

Jenny: Okay see you guys after class!

Everyone: Bye!

I walk off with Bella since we have the next class together. I think about the interactions we had at lunch. It was a really fun lunch. At first it was awkward since we didn't know each other quite well but after some time the conversations were filled with laughter. As I said really fun time!

I'm still pretty shy around you but I can't believe I've made it this far without doing what many would call the extreme. But we all exchanged numbers. So now I have yours. I want to text you but I'm worried that you will distance yourself if I say something wrong. Well it shouldn't matter since I will make you mine and that's a promise I am willing to keep forever. Nothing will be able to get in the way. You are 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕖.
