His night's light

- - - "you don't think I could bring myself to mark your lovely skin?. I'll carve my name in your breast so that every beat of your heart will remind you that you are mine and mine alone. Because blood is binding and I would rather see you destroyed by me than see you free or in the possession of another, I suggest you do not try me or you would suffer as no creature has". He said trapping her on the wall as he stroked her cheek."You are dancing only with me and no one else, I shouldn't remind you that I can kill because I wouldn't hesitate to destroy my opposer, my sweet girl". He said as he whispered to her ears before he gently blew her ears, making her heart skip beats. The girl stared at him with a hard expression, before asking" Do you love me then?". "No". He responded immediately " Then you are evil". She said "And you are mine". He said before he leaned toward her as his teeth grazed her neck making the girl gasp. . Expand in the dark Shrink in the light Save Aurora. The scarred girl frowned deeply as she read the contents of the old letter from an old box that she had found in the attic. These were the only words it contained. What was the meaning of this and why was her name written on it? She thought as she continuously checked the paper.

Beginning of the interpreted nightmares 2

The sun continued to peek through the glass windows, letting the prince know it was a new day. Khaldun blinked twice before opening his exhausted eyes, to step out of the bed. He came to face still dark-red eyes that stared at him with the same voraciousness in the mirror. He was annoyed.

Firstly he was so thirsty for blood that he felt his fangs suddenly elongating. He tried retracing but it wasn't working. This was bad, he groaned in frustration.

Secondly, he had slept off like a damn human. He didn't pick on the heartbeats of anyone, passing through his door or the spider that always weaved its web, near the glass windows.

He realized, he could have been killed. He could have been damn murdered like a chicken. Narrowing his eyes in the mirror, he looked hideous. His handsome face was gone and now was replaced by a ferocious animal on legs with black veins already protruding from his head, ready to suck and kill.

He felt his throat burn while he walked over to the table that faced the wardrobe, to take some water. He was astonished to find a tray of food, a glass of fruit juice, a jug filled with water and another empty glass.

Widening his eyes, Khaldun hurried to open the plate to see garnished vegetables, sprinkled with honey and he felt the sudden urge to lift the plate, flinging it out of the glass window, so he could make an impact; letting the maids know he was indeed furious.

Those stupid maids. One of them had done it. It wouldn't be the maid that had entered his chamber last night, it had to be some other person.

His eyes swept to the door, to find the door unlatched. He hit himself on the forehead in frustration. Lifting the table, he flung it to the door to have the plates, jug and glass break into pieces, spilling their contents on the floor.

Damn his stupidity, he would have been killed, he repeated this thought over and over again in his head. He had been vulnerable.

Groaning in frustration again, he strode to the bed to have his coat picked for him to teleport when he heard a gentle knock on his door. He was too weak to pick on the scent or heartbeat of the person over the door and this had never happened to him.

Highly alerted, he wondered who it could be. It could be his father's men or maids who were hired to have him assassinated. This wouldn't be the first time, they had come through this manner.

Teleporting with the little strength he had, he appeared at his door to meet Bastian, who was carrying a mug and a sheepskin purse that hung around his shoulder. He could perceive blood, his hands already itching to forcefully drag the mug from his grasp.

It had been long four days without blood and the little he had sipped from the maid couldn't satiate him and it would have killed the maid.

Bastian could see the evident blood lust, that pranced in those red eyes that stared at him and the elongated canine that peeked through his mouth. He wondered why he was changing his eye colour and retracing his fangs.

"Are you taking notes on how awesome I look?". He heard Khaldun question him.

" I am taking mental notes on how to dispose of you when you had thought of exposing us. Are you planning to get caught?". Bastian retorted to have Khaldun give a wide smile and say nothing. He looked like a feral animal, eyeing his prey.

Raising the tray of food, he tipped his chin to the bag on him. "Food for his highness, you look ugly. Let's go in, I can hear some maids approaching. He said to the man, who was trying to stay sane.

" Let's go in". He repeated his words to see Khaldun throw back his head in exhaustion.

Khaldun clicked the door's knob, letting them in before the approaching maids would see them; screaming down the palace when they would come to face his hideous appearance.

Khaldun felt his body go weaker which was so unusual to him. This had never happened to him. Going down on his knees, he fell flat on the ground to twirl around to face the ceiling, steadying his heartbeat.

"Bastian". He whispered in pain. "I think I am feeling weaker, every passing day. I have never felt this way before, do you think it is because I haven't consumed blood?".

Bastian walked closer to him, squatting to place the bag and mug of blood beside him. " That's because you haven't fully evolved yet. Just spare it for more years, these weaknesses would pass by and your full abilities restored". He convinced him.

"Never heard a pureblooded vampire, losing all his abilities because he was thirsty. I just had a fucking sip from a slut of a maid, and they're still was no change. Ugh". He groaned in pain, trying to sit up, grabbing the mug while gulping down its entire content.

" Strange then". Bastian commented, staring at the prince who was munching the raw meat like a starved wild animal. He realized Khaldun was truly acting strange.

"That's enough". He said to Khaldun, who had started to draw blood from his palm, sucking on it while watching his red eyes go from darker red to the sea-rover eyes. Exhaling a deep breath.

" You should rest, we have a meeting to attend to ". He said to Khaldun who had already shut his eyes.

...

"You can talk to me, dear. What is it?". Emmeline continued to pester the girl, who was still shuddering in fear.

" Mama - -, mama". Little Aurora was scared, wrapping her hands securely, around Emmeline as she sobbed.

"Shh, it is alright. Your mama is here. Emmeline rubbed her back, holding her closer as she tried to soothe her with her words.

When she was sure Aurora had calmed down, she puffed up the pillow, pushing her lightly so she could rest her head on it but Aurora refused to let her go, tightening her grasp on her. " I am here". She continued to assure her.

Emmeline was worried. What had happened to her?. Did the evil force follow her back here? But she was sure, she had applied a portion and spell to ward off the evil eyes from her.

Aurora pulled away from her grandmother, staring at her with her already swollen eyes, trying to clean off the fresh tears that were threatening to fall, which Emmeline helped in cleaning it off.

"Mama I had a nightmare again". She whispered.

Emmeline felt the hairs on her body rise at the mention of the nightmare, as she tried her best to retain her composure.

" Shh, don't cry dear. Tell me what you saw".

Emmeline saw Aurora pause, opening her mouth to talk when she winced out loud in pain, instantly placing her hands on her head, which troubled Emmeline.

"What is it, Aurora?". She asked in a panic, pushing herself closer to the girl. She was scared, so scared of the spells backfiring.

" Mama". Aurora gasped with wide eyes. "I - - can't. I can't recall anything". She said in horror, staring at her grandmother, who had frowned her face.
