Chapter 16 Magnificent

Rachel woke up to the sound of birds singing outside her window,and she immediately remembered she was going to leave her home,she felt a pang of sadness fill her heart.

She closed her eyes for a few moments, taking a deep breath and savoring the feeling of warmth and comfort that filled the space. Slowly she climbed out of the bed, feeling the soft carpet underfoot as she made her way across her room.

As she walked around her room, she examined every inch of it with an air of nostalgia and admiration.

The living room was quite small but cozy with comfy furniture and warm colors, while the kitchen was welcoming with a rustic feel and scent of fresh coffee.

She took her time to shower and get dressed, she headed into the kitchen for a cup of fresh coffee to start her morning.

She sipped her coffee and began to pack her belongings with a heavy heart. She carefully wrapped up her favorite items her books and her materials and ingredients she used in producing her perfumes softly in a box, she turned and saw her mothers picture on the table she gently picked her, she smiled and gently wrapped it before putting it into a different box, ready to be moved out.

Her love for her home was evident, when she had no one her home was there to comfort her and bring her warmth, so she felt a sense of sadness and nostalgia as she packed up her precious memories.

She took a moment to sit down and reminisce and admire the space around her, the walls of her home were filled with memories and stories.

She smiled at the good memories she had, but she was snapped from her thoughts by the ring on hev phone. She took her phone and picked it.

"Hello miss Rachel" Vincent's voice was filled with a tinge of excitement.

"Vincent, how can I help you?" She was not in the mood for this talk.

"I sent a driver down to pick you and bring you her"

"Well thank you Mr Vin but I'll manage on my own" she cuts the call immediately not giving Vin the chance to reply.

She sat on her couch, "Zech is so unreasonable" of he hadn't insisted on her coming to his house she wouldn't need to leave behind her precious house, she stood up took her luggage and headed for the door she took one last look back, savoring the feeling of her cozy home and the memories that would always be with her.

She knew she was moving into a new environment, just thinking about it gives her shiveres not just any new environment but Zech's environment, she knew instantly it spelt doom for her.

On getting outside the building she was met with the driver Vin had sent over earlier to Pick her up.

"Miss I'm George your driver, may I…" She totally ignored him like he didn't exist and walked past him to hail a taxi, she put her belongings at the back of the car and entered.

"Miss where are you heading?" The driver asked her.

Then it immediately dawned on her that she doesn't know the address to the house, she was beyond frustrated.

"Miss" the driver called again, "I'm so sorry sir, I don't really… Don't worry I'm really sorry I have to get down"

"It alright miss" she stepped down from the car "i'm really sorry sir" then she took her luggage from the car and reluctantly walked towards the driver giving a hard glare before handing him her luggage she boarded the car, the driver was just smiling, she could tell this was another scheme of Zech, he entered the car he didn't speak to her.

After an hour of driving they finally arrived. They were welcomed by a very big gate which automatically opened and they drove in.

Rachel on the other hand was in awe of the whole place, never had she seen such a Magnificent building in her life, it was like she had stepped into heaven.

As she stepped out of the car, and approached the mansion, she is struck by its modern elegance. The exterior is a sleek combination of glass, steel, and concrete, with clean lines and sharp angles that give it a distinctly contemporary feel. The entrance is flanked by a meticulously manicured garden, filled with vibrant flowers and perfectly trimmed hedges. The scent of the flowers filled her nostrils and she stood savoring the scent, she had earlier forgotten she was angry.

Vincent stepped outside the house waving at her with a smile on his face. "Miss Rachel you made it" her attention was drawn away from the flowers as she opened her eyes and saw Vin standing outside the mansion."please come in" he opened the door for her and she slowly walked towards him on stepping inside Stepping inside, she is greeted with a stunning open-concept living area. The walls are painted a warm, neutral tone, creating a sense of calm and relaxation. The floors are made of natural stone, adding to the luxurious feel of the space. The room is flooded with natural light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. She stood frozen on her spot, she felt a sense of security and warmth surrounding her, it was the least of what she had expected. Vin was smiling at her frozen body then he tapped her "Miss Rachel this way".

The living area flows seamlessly into the dining room, which features a large, modern table surrounded by sleek, comfortable chairs. The room is lit by a stunning crystal chandelier that sparkles in the light, adding to the opulence of the space. The walls are adorned with modern art, adding a touch of sophistication to the room. Vin took her to the kitchen,

The kitchen is a chef's dream, with state-of-the-art appliances and ample counter space. The cabinets are made of rich, dark wood, adding warmth and depth to the space. A large island sits in the center of the room, inviting guests to gather around and enjoy a glass of wine while the host prepares a gourmet meal, "would you like a cup of juice, I can tell you're thirsty" he said to her smiling, enjoying her cute and amazed expressions.

"Yes.. Yes please" she really needed something to drink all these were making her thirsty, "Here" he landed her a glass of freshly punched orange juice.

"Thank you" she drank it all in one go.

"Wow, you must have been really thirsty" she smiled at him feeling shy of her behavior.

"Let's head up the stairs shall we?", she nodded her head like a baby who was promised candy.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is a true sanctuary. The room is decorated in soft, calming colors, with plush carpets and luxurious linens that make you feel as though you're sleeping on a cloud. The bed is a modern masterpiece, with a sleek, minimalist design that belies its comfort. A large balcony offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, inviting you to step outside and take in the fresh air.

"This is Zech's room" he told her waiting for her response but non came, after a few moment of silence "let me show you to your room" he took her to a room only a few doors from that of Zech, when he opened the door she was awestruck by the sight that behold her, they were like a room fit for a princess. "What do you think?" Vin asked her he had been the one to design the room since he had been to her old room. She knew how it looked so he made it look a little like that but with so much warmth.

She turned instantly and hugged him, "Thanks a lot Vin" she froze instantly because she had not expected this kind of response from her, he felt really excited for her. "What are friends for?" She pulled from the hug and smiled at him with a single tear on her eyes, while Vin wiped It away with his thumb, she blushed instantly. "Let me show you the backyard" they both left her room and headed to the back, when she stepped into the backyard it is an oasis of tranquility, with a sparkling pool, comfortable loungers, and lush greenery that creates a sense of privacy and serenity. The space is perfect for entertaining, with a large outdoor kitchen and plenty of seating for guests. She said down on a chair close to the pool, she had earlier noticed that Zech was nowhere to be seen. "Where is your boss?" She said with a seemingly uninterested face, but deep down she wanted to know why he wasn't here.

"Oh he left for a business trip this morning, he asked to pick you up and help you settle down comfortably" "oh I see" she stood up, left the backyard and entered her room. She got a call from Peter.
