He can't cook

Liliana was upset, Tristan had told her once that he didn't know how to cook. How come he suddenly knows how to cook? Still not satisfied and upset, she sat back in the chair and played with the teddy bear. She studied its face and visions of Tristan's angelic face appeared in her mind, she suddenly smile.

Liliana recalled his words of apology. Saying he had been greedy, selfish, and saying she was beautiful, inside out. A big grin stretched on her lips as she stared at the teddy bear.

Liliana being less busy and waiting for Tristan to serve dinner, stood up and began to study his house. There were no paintings on the wall, why was he so boring and ill-fashioned?

His house looked like an abandoned house that had been rendered of not its beauty. Liliana was still looking around in the dim light when she heard coughs and suddenly had the urge to cough too.

What's going on? The atmosphere was clouded with smoke coming from the kitchen. What has Tristan done?

Liliana waved her hand as she found her to the kitchen to find him trying to flip the steak that was already burnt and at the same time watching a video on his phone! For chrissake! He should have told her he didn't know how to cook as she knew already.

Liliana wasn't able to study his kitchen because it was filled with fogs and then she called out to him. Tristan was shocked to see her at the door as he waved at the burnt steak which was on the frying pan.

"Ah. . .Um," Tristan was short of words as he continuously fan the smoke that was formed by the steak being burnt and he was still trying to flip it instead of turning off the stove. Dummy!

Liliana was disappointed and at the same time excited, he proved her right that he didn't know how to cook. Liliana went forward as she pinched her nose and then, she turned off the stove and grabbed the spoon from Tristan before flipping it, taking a chopstick to bring the steak out before trashing it in the trash can.

Liliana looked around for the window and she went to open it. "My God, Tristan, you wanna get this house burnt?!" She yelled at him still pinching her nose and this time, fanning the fog out with some flat substance she found on the counter.

Tristan's kitchen wasn't so empty, it was fair. The items hung, she saw the pot, fry pan, and some of his food items.

"I. . .I, you ordered for soft steak and I wanted to cook that for you," Tristan defended himself while she glared at him still fanning.

"By watching tips online?!"

"Yes, that's what it's for anyway. I don't want to be embarrassed in front of you by saying I don't know how to cook," Tristan enunciated.

Liliana laughed because he looked cuter trying to point out reasons which weren't relevant or a good excuse for trying to burn down the house!

Tristan's eyes followed her as she went across the kitchen, she handed the flat substance. "I know you don't know how to cook that's why I asked you to cook for me." She began to clean the counter he made a mess on.

Tristan didn't fan the smoke he just looked at her back figure. Liliana was wearing a flower-printed mini gown. He scrutinized her white skin legs up to her thigh and then had wild thoughts before snapping out. This is Liliana Tristan, not any random girl.

"How did you. . .? That's not fair, I demanded something simple from you."

Liliana glanced at him and smirked. "Okay, I've forgiven you. Let's be friends again," she rubbed the napkin on the counter before turning to Tristan who had a black apron on.

Liliana giggled silently and threw him a somber look before extending her hand. "I wish that this time, you don't ruin the friendship or I don't ruin it. Friend?" Her lips formed a smile.

Tristan caught her hand this time with an honest intention. Then, when he accepted to be friends with her, the fact that he murdered her parents struck his mind and he wonder how Liliana would react once she finds out he was the man that shot them that night.

Liliana sighed and rubbed her hand on her gown. "Since you don't know how to fry or roast a steak. Let's eat fried noodles then, with fried eggs" she suggested.

Tristan dropped the substance and turn to her. "I'll get it done, just go sit while I prepare. . . What again?" Tristan played dumb to get her to smile. And damn! He loves it when she tosses that kiddish smile.

"Sure, but I'll have to watch you so you don't get the house burnt down in two seconds," she lifted her index and middle fingers.

"All right, since you are here, you can put me through."

"Sure."

They got noodles, eggs, some chilly pepper, vegetable oil, and some important ingredients. Now, Tristan was firmly holding the knife to slice the onion. Liliana wasn't staring at him, she boiled water for the noodles, and with her gaze away he cut the onion.

When Liliana beheld the way he chopped the onion, she slapped her forehead frustrated and disappointed, even a five-year-old girl could cut an onion so perfectly. Tristan cut the onion so big and not equal in size. He made the onion so rubbish to sight.

"So, what's next?" He asked like he did a miracle to the onion.

"What next is to trash that trash and cut another," she enunciated as she motioned for him slowly.

"What's wrong with the onion? I cut it well," he glanced at it and he felt disappointed at himself immediately, he did rubbish.

"I'm sure you've seen what you've done."

"I did it well, just some simple mistake," he said as he trashed it in the trash can. Tristan took another Onion and peeled it before cutting it into two. The moment he placed the knife on the onion to cut. He had Liliana's voice to halt and he did so with his obsidian eyes peering at her.

Liliana went forward leaving the water to heat up and then, she grabbed the knife off his hand and Tristan stood by her side to watch as she cut the onion and as she marvelously waved the knife on the onion, he watched.

With that, his gaze shifted up to her arm until it got to her face. "Get it a try," she told him.

Tristan nodded knowing that that wasn't the only words she had mentioned after collecting the knife from him. She had explained to him how to cut it and how he'd hold the knife but he was busy daydreaming about her body.

Tristan was supposed to collect the knife from her while she slide from his front but he did otherwise by hugging her from behind and sliding his fingers on her arm before covering her small hand that was holding the knife and onion. Liliana was frozen at that moment but her heart seems not to because her heart began to race.
