Fate

Liliana stood up from the chair she was sitting on and sat on the two-seater couch Tristan was sitting on. Liliana sat by his side while as she stroked his back he quaffed another glass before glancing at her to see she was staring at his hair.

Liliana shifted her gaze to meet his. "Tristan, sometimes things like this happen because it's fate, we cannot change it."

One side of Tristan's lips curved into a depressed smile. He drank another glass. "This time fate was in my hands," he uttered.

Liliana withdrew her hand from his back. "Fate is never in anyone's hand we just keep thinking that...What if we didn't do this, what if we didn't allow that? This wouldn't have happened. The fact that we did and didn't. The fact that we allowed and didn't allow was fate. Sometimes, fate controls us and we don't know. Fate sometimes gives good results which favor us but once it brings bad results and because it doesn't favor us, we believe that we had fate in our hands whereas it's wrong. No one controls fate except God. Even the devil doesn't control fate," Liliana explained while Tristan gazed at her in wonder and somehow what she said was true.

"I was like what if I didn't allow my parents to go out on a date? They wouldn't have died but that wasn't the first time they've gone on a date so their death wasn't anyone's fault but the person that shot my parents. I could have said the person had fate in his hand at that moment but he didn't, he just let fate use him." Liliana glanced at Tristan who was staring at her with different emotions surging through his guts. She shouldn't know about what he did.

"What if someday you find the person that killed them?" He asked.

"I don't know if it's a stranger I'll be very angry even though I know fate took them, as a human I'm to have feelings and I have to let them out. And if it's someone close to me. . ." She paused. "Never in my life will I ever talk to that person, look at the person. I'll cut all ties I have with him or her because even if it was fate controlling the person, killing them means he had a bad motive and what motive was that to cause him to kill my parents?" She asked and looked away from his eyes because recalling made her heart so heavy and as she held back her tears, her throat burned.

Liliana's gaze landed on the drink and she drank two glasses until Tristan stopped her.

He could control himself but she wouldn't. "I know how you feel Tristan, losing someone you like makes you feel. . . like. . . there's no reason to live. You feel empty, alone and you know it would be better if you could just lose your memories of them but even if that happens. You will still feel that someone is missing from your life. So, grieving is normal, so normal and at the same time you have to move on because even if they are gone, they still look at you, watch you and if they see you are living a life that isn't worth living they feel sad which wouldn't make their soul rest in peace." She glanced at Tristan who was holding her hand. He dropped her hand and she quaffed the drink. "Let the little boy go and do things that would have made him happy before he left. That way he'd know that you are okay and would rest well," Tristan stared at her. He thought she wasn't smart but she really acts like a doctor. And now she was being attractive.

"I'll do just that," he uttered before drinking another glass. After his statement. Silence occur for a few moments before she decided to drink another.

"Aren't you hungry?"

"I am," Tristan replied.

Liliana ran her fingers through her hair before getting up on her feet but before she knew what was going on. Tristan had tugged her and pressed her down to the chair before landing a kiss on her lips.

Liliana looked in surprise and shock because it was unexpected. "I'm hungry, not for food," he whispered and her stomach had butterflies fluttering around. Her cheek burned, not her cheek, her whole body was in heat!

What had the drink done to her? Or what had Tristan done to her? Liliana lowered her gaze when she recovered from the sudden action he acted toward her. Tristan loved her blushing attitude, so he lifted her chin and leapt closer to her. Heat suffused every part of her, especially her ear.

When she met Tristan's piercing obsidian eyes, she swallowed with her heart racing. Oh, this feeling again.

To her surprise, Tristan was asking permission to go ahead through his gaze. Liliana swallowed again. Did she want this? With lowered gaze but lifted chin she thought. And then slowly she felt his soft lips getting mashed with hers.

If she responds then it was a go-ahead. She drove him crazy the moment she sat next to him and when she touched his back, a warm feeling electrified through him that he wanted to have her just then but he needed to behave himself, they were on a serious discussion then but now that she stared at him with those glazing brown eyes which were glazing because of the drink she had. He desperately wanted to kiss her now. And damn he went for it before he could realize it.

The last thing Tristan wanted was for Liliana to get upset again because it was difficult the last time to get her to forgive him. And Xander was already gone who'd give him good advice on how to apologize to her?

So, he needed her permission in whatever action he took on her and her eyes sold her out before he could read her mind.

Tristan offered her that kiss that melted her completely, a kiss full of emotions both of them didn't understand. A slow kiss that woke every sensitive part of her. A kiss that made her lose her mind.

A kiss that made Tristan lose himself to her, he tilted his head to have a good taste of her soft lips.

Tristan kissed her again without parting his lips from hers. He kissed and kissed her as he embraced and bury her body in his.

Then he parted her lips slowly before sucking on her lower lip, he tilted his head to the other side again and deepened the kiss.

Liliana didn't know her body could react this way, she gripped his shirt with her fist and kissed him back as he led her into the world she had never visited.

It wasn't the first time they kissed each other but it was the first time they kissed with some emotions involved which took the kiss to the next level. Liliana withdrew her lips as she was out of breath. She panted against his lips which made him want more and after giving her a little break. He crushed his mouth on hers and glided his tongue with hers in a passionate wild kiss.
