Chapter 8.

Seraphina's POV

Waking up I feel warmth all around me. I pry my eyes open to see that I somehow found my way on top of Nicholas with his hands around my waist and mine around his neck.

Containing my embarrassment I try to push myself up and off of him but his grip tightens. Trying again I get the same result. Pulling his left arm off of me, I can literally roll off the bed and land on the floor with a thud.

Rubbing the arm that I landed on I crawl up and make my way to the closet. I look through finding my clothes. I pick out a flowy white skirt and a baby blue long-sleeve shirt. Looking at my underwear options I grab out a simple white matching set.

I check out of the closet door to see if Nicholas is still asleep thankfully he is. I make my way to the bathroom to get ready. I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing today but I felt like I needed to get ready.

After my shower, I quickly get dressed and exit the bathroom drying my hair with my towel. Cora was always telling me that I should just use a hair dryer but I read too many articles as a middle schooler about killing my hair by applying heat. So it's a no for me.

Nicholas is still asleep on the bed with the covers down around his hips giving me a view of his bare chest. Ignoring the bad thoughts I walk over to grab my phone, I head downstairs to find the kitchen.

I walk around the kitchen, trying to find a coffee maker but come up empty-handed. I'll just ask Nicholas later. I look through his fridge trying to find something to eat when I hear a noise behind me.

"Who the hell are you?"

I turn around to see two guys, one blonde and one with brown hair. I stare at them as they stare at me until blondie starts to squeal and jump toward me.

"OMG, You're Seraphina. Nick told me he was getting married but why would I believe him?" He suddenly gasps and looks hurt and then angry. "He didn't invite me." He scowls towards the kitchen's doorway and takes off running.

I stare in the direction he took off dumbfounded. I want to ask what the hell happened but I think it's easier to just keep quiet. The other guy hasn't moved but continues to stare at me.

Under his eye, I get out some fruit and build myself a small fruit salad. I eat my breakfast hearing noises coming from upstairs and the brunette starting at me.

As I take a bite the blonde runs through the doorway and hides behind me and the counter crouching down on his hands and knees.

Before I can say anything Nicholas runs in still shirtless and with a glazed-over glare on his face.

"He's behind the counter." The brunette rats out the blonde who scoffs loudly. Nicholas stalks forward towards us well him, I'm just trying to eat my breakfast.

The blonde stands up and moves behind me putting his hands on my shoulders and pushing me forward.

"Kill her not me." He just tried to sacrifice me. Bitch, please. I grab one of his hands off of me and sit up on the counter and slide over to the other side leaving him and Nicholas on their own.

Nicholas marches towards him as the blonde screams for mercy. It's honestly hilarious but it's too early to deal with this without coffee.

"Okay. Boys break it up. You can continue your pillow fight later when I'm not eating breakfast." Nicholas reluctantly walks away and grabs a glass of water and sits down next to my bowl of fruit.

I go over and sit down next to him resuming the eating of my breakfast.
