Chapter 21 A Chill in the Heart

Josephine stood at the door, holding a bag and staring in astonishment at the scene inside. Unfazed and fearless, Christopher caught her gaze and casually turned his head, asking, "What brings you here?"

His voice was gentle and warm, but his eyes were cold to the extreme. As Josephine looked at his frosty expression, a chill ran through her heart. "I... I came to..."

Upon seeing that it was Selena who was cornered by Christopher, her words suddenly got stuck.

Assuming Christopher was flirting with another woman in the office, I never expected it to be Selena.

How did Selena end up in Christopher's office? When did they get acquainted?

Her heart was in turmoil. Selena looked at Josephine's astonished eyes and sneered inwardly. She pushed Christopher away and strode off.

Although being pinned against the wall by Christopher was not what she wanted, Josephine seeing this scene still made her feel particularly relieved.
