Two Weeks

We had come back home this morning after spending an additional day with my family. Pa had flown back to Canada last night since he had a project he needed to finish up before Christmas break which was in two weeks.
When Benedito came back he looked in slighter better spirits which made me happy to see but I knew we still needed to talk. I had to keep Claire's words in mind though and not just ask him point blank. I had to phase it in gradually so I did not scare him away.
I worried that maybe my nightmares were weighing heavy on him. He barely slept because of me and it was evident by how tired he looked. I forced him to take a small nap as soon as we arrived which he resisted at first but once I laid down with him I was sure he fell asleep.
