Chapter 55. Danger Lurks.

Its been three days since my drastic move out. Things at my brother's compound were very peaceful. The house was airy and the hallways were very broad, suitable for the pattering of tiny baby feet. My heart swelled at the thought of my new nephew who was still at the hospital with his Mom.

The pregnancy had been pretty hard on lucy in the later stages and she had to stay over for intensive care after the the birth. The medical jargon had completely flown over my head when Jason had told ne but apparently she had internal bleeding from when the baby shifted during the contractions. I had worried but apparently lucy had been strong enough to to mock my disastrous taste in men and how i could do better through a Skype call.

The video call had been done when I had first arrived at their house. It was obvious it was a rouse to make me feel better.
