DAVE'S POV

Dave smiles as she gasps, "I mean I didn't expect it too". His eyes wandering to the pool

"I'm really sorry, I didn't know my reaction would be like that". Magedelene looking so concerned and at the same time still surprise.

He gets out of the pool, he grabs a towel nearby dabbing it on his body, and his face slowly, while Magedelene picks up her shoe and follows suit.

Dave gets offered a Robe, He finds Magedelene's palm and leads her to a chair nearby. "What will you like to take". A waiter comes by asking for their order.

" A glass of Champagne". She says, looking at Philip all concerned. The waiter turns to Philip asking for his order,

He says "I'll be getting the same thing instead get us a bottle of it".

" How are you really doing, Philip". Magedelene reaching for his hands.

"To be honest, I am really feeling void, like empty, no emotions has been kicking in lately". He looks at the waiter who's coming with the order.

Magedelene nods her head, signifying she understands him.

"Yunno, I have been asking myself should I feel something, should I resent my biological parent?, should I resent my parent that I have always known?." He pauses, waits for the waiter to place the bottle of champagne and leave.

Dave continues "I just don't know how to react to this information".

Their hands still inlock as she says " Give yourself time, all you need is time right now". She pauses, not knowing if she's saying too much already.

"When did your mom told you the truth, yunno am kinda trying to get this information from you, probably I'll know what to do with mine". Pouring himself another drink.

" When I was Five, Steph ex husband John, had been hitting her really bad, She made a conscious decision to leave and she told me the truth". She looks away like those moment were happening Infront of her

"Hey, I am really sorry about that".He brings her face back to him".

Magedelene sniffs, " It not about me today, it's you, okay?". It makes Dave smile, as he gulps the drink a third time.

" Yunno what, you aren't taking from this champagne again, I ain't your momma but Amma whoop your ass right now".

This time they both laugh out loud .

In-between the laugh Dave begin to speak. "Since, the discovery, I have this urge to really want to know my biological parent, I have sat with my thoughts alone, I just don't know where and how to look for them".

She brings her chair closed to his, their body touching " You don't have to this alone, just ask your parent, atleast they owe you that".

"Yeah, yeah ". He nods, as he gulps the remaining drink in his glass." How about you, Magedelene?."

"Maybe, I need to take my own advice too and confront my mom". She answers, sipping her drink for the first time, since the conversation started.

Then Dave begins to laugh,he goes on laughing very hard. Magedelene didn't get it at first, then she joins him..

It isn't just laugh, She could tell it was more than that

" Yunno, I get it, Life can never go as smooth as we want it too, Surprises always sets in". Magedelene chips in.

Dave stares at her this time, eye contact not breaking. "Do you know how I knew I can always confide in you, and you will easily and simply get me".

She nods and gulps at her drink

" Was the day, you stood up, defining what family meant to you, that's when you clicked, you ignited something in me". Dave continues, still staring into her soul.

Her smile spread on her face "Oh shut up, you are just tipsy right now". Dave chuckles

" Maybe I am, but what are you scared of ?".

Dave knows, she knows what he means by that question, but she wouldn't tell him, it was something she really had to sit and think.

He wants her, he's always desired her since the first time, but he needs her consent for what ever was gonna happen to play out .

"Yunno what, Dave am gonna pour you another drink, I think we really need this".

As She pours into his cup, he pulls her chair facing him, he grabs her waist , pulling her closer to him.

She drops the bottle of champagne gently, leaning closer for a kiss. As their lips touches .

They could both hear someone saying "Have been looking all over you , Magedelene". Magedelene jerks him off.

It's Amanda, who is smiling and at the same time a little tipsy.

Amanda comes over to their table, as Magedelene introduces them. "I have heard so much about you Dave". Magedelene hits Amanda playfully.

Dave smiles, "They're all nice things by the way". She quickly chips in.

She turns over to Magedelene who's already feeling flustered " I'll be leaving soon, came here to let you know". She turns her back leaving, as she throws in "And y'all can continue with the kiss, I saw that".

Dave laughs out loud, as Magedelene rolls her eyes, giving her friend that I will murder you later stare.

"C'mon you don't have to be shy, sooner or later, it will come out". Dave immediately regrets his words as it slips out.

" Excuse me Sir, what do you mean by that". She stares at him deadly in a cute way.

Dave laughs again " I mean, I like Amanda already".

" Oh that should be it". She pours him another drink to shut him up obviously.

Magedelene sips her drink then goes on. "You know what I said about, How people that loves us lie to us because they want us to protect, that's scrap ". She pauses, then continues looking him eye to eye

"They lie because, the truth might cause us to make a choice that they don't like".

Dave looks her right back in the eye too, goes closer to her "That's so deep, that's something to really ponder about, I haven't really thought of it that way".

Their breath syncing together, Dave closes his eyes as he takes in her breath, She pulls back "I have to go home now". He smiles lightly as he pulls her into a deep hug.
