DxD 36 – Meeting the Fujiwara Sisters (4)

The first one to wake up, among the three sisters, was oddly enough Chika. As she opened her sky-blue eyes and scanned her surroundings. Only to realised she seems to be in some kind of warehouse, along with her still sleeping sisters. However, there also something else Chika that realised, not only she is tied to a wooden chair, like her sisters as well.

There even a magic circle, or an array formation under her feet for some reason. And even Moeha and Toyomi has one each. And not only that, but Chika eyes also widen, as she notices other children sitting in chairs, tied up, and under a magic array, just like her, and her sisters.

'What is this…?' Chika become shocked, realising she and her two sisters, wasn't the only ones that been kidnapped. And at the back of the warehouse, she notices several hooded men and women, all talking to each other.

"Oh, you the first one out of everyone here. Please wait a little longer for the ritual to begin." Went a familiar female voice, as Chika turned her head, towards the young woman in her mid-20s, with long dark blue hair, and dark red eyes, looking at Chika, with a gentle look.

"Y-You… were? W-Where are we… and w-why you are doing this…" Chika asked, with an uneasy tone.

"Don't worry lost child. You will understand in time, after awakening you, and finishing few other things in Japan. We will returned back to Father, who will explained everything to you, and the others." Went the woman with her gentle smile and looked. But for some reason, her gentle look and smile sent chills down Chika's back.

"Awakening…?" Chika went, normally this girl will be glad seeing such magic, and other fantasy things, that she dreams and hope for in video games, that she once played on. However, Chika cannot help to become afraid of this woman, and the magic circle under her, as well the ones around her sisters and the others in this place.

"Don't worry, everything will be known. And in case, you do bite your tongue in the middle of the awakening ritual. We had to gag you, please understand, lost child." Went the dark blue haired woman.

But before Chika could say anything, her light blue eyes widen in shock, as several different magic circles appeared, and several more men in hooded robes appeared. Each one, holding several mouth gags.

"Finally you returned back, had you brought back the gags." Said the dark blue haired woman, who she looked at the other hooded woman among the ones just appeared out of nowhere.

"It cannot be help. I didn't expect, some idiot forgot to bring the mouth gags with them. Come on, Father is waiting for us on the other side. Sooner we finished, and deal with that 'matter', sooner we can met with Father and the others." Went the aloof woman, that even looked down at the woman with dark blue hair.

However, it seems the dark blue haired woman, didn't seems to mind, almost as if this other hooded woman has higher status than herself.

"Of course, as you wish my lady." When she said those words, Chika become shocked, and even notice the other hooded woman, who seems to be in higher status than the one kidnapped her here. Looked at Chika with her cold yellow eyes, and some dark green hair, could be seen under her hood.

"Oh… one woke up faster than the others… this one seems promising." Went the hooded woman with yellow eyes.

"Yes of course, maybe she will awakened to a Sacred Gear?" Went the dark blue haired woman. As the word of Sacred Gear did made Chika tilted her head, as she desired to know what that is. However, before Chika could asked what that is. She happened to overhear their next words, that not only made Chika stop asking, but also shock her very core.

"Maybe so, another Sacred Gear user, is a welcome. Hopefully, she doesn't die from the ritual." When Chika heard those words, her mind went blank for several seconds, however before Chika could speak, or asked what they mean by dying in this ritual. Someone behind Chika, and gagged her mouth, before she could mention anything, maybe she heard it wrong? Or so Chika foolish told herself.

"How many lost children has you gather this time?" Asked the woman, with dark green hair and yellow eyes.

"57 in total, 11 of them are from the age of 5-10, 32 between 11-13… and 14 between the ages of 14-17." Went the woman with dark blue hair.

"Correct me if I am wrong, the chances of survival for those between 5 and 10 is 99.9%, between 11 to 13 is 80%... what it was for over 14 again?" Asked the woman.

"14 is 40%, 15 is 20%... 16 is 10%... while 17 is a slim 5% chance. That why the idea age of using the ritual is before ten years old. However, we are not always lucky to find those under ten." Went the dark blue haired woman, while Chika who might be clueless of many things, one thing she isn't, is an idiot, that wouldn't knew what they are talking about.

15? Survive? 20%...? Chika repeated those words in her head many times. And realised her sister, Toyomi is in danger of this ritual! However, what can this almost to be 12 years old girl could do? She is tied to a chair, she cannot even warned her older sister, that she loved, and respect due to being gagged.

Tears formed from Chika's sky-blue eyes, as she realised this situation is not good. But also felt hopelessly, knowing how weak and pitiful she is, that she cannot do nothing about this.

Knowing she cannot do anything about this. Chika's eyes went red, due to her tears, while Chika herself kept on staring at her sister, Toyomi, who is among others around her age. And just like that, time moved on, and the others that are gagged and bounded in their chairs. Begun to wake up, one by one.

Toyomi who also woke up, notice the strange warehouse, as well several different people in black robes, besides the three she met in the café. But the one that catch Toyomi's eyes, was the woman with yellow eyes, that seems to be in charge. She looked coldly at everyone, even at the children here, and Toyomi even had a feeling, this aloof woman might even kill everyone here, even her men, if anyone displease her. That's how cold she seems, while she walked around this place, as none of this matter to her.

After looking at that cold woman, Toyomi begun to look for her sisters, and notice Chika and Moeha are around others, who also at the same age as them. Even if Toyomi hasn't overheard their talks, like Chika did. Toyomi cannot help to notice how strange it is, to arrange their captures in groups based on their age, and then Toyomi glance at the ground, at the magic circle or array formations under everyone's feet.

However, before Toyomi could gather more information, a cold voice sounded between everyone. And this alarmed all of the children that been kidnapped here, and even Toyomi is no exception, as her light blue eyes looked at the cold woman, with the dark green hair, and yellow eyes, that seems to shine under her hood, or so it seems to be to Toyomi.

"Since everyone is up and gagged. Begun the ritual, so we can move on to the second phase." When the cold woman, with her yellow eyes said that. Toyomi's eyes widen, realising this is just beginning what they planned for them, after all, if this ritual or whatever it called is phase one… what phase two?

'Bloodline… High Human… Father… Father will show us the way…? Could it be…?' Even if Toyomi might seems lazy, and carefree most of the time. But one has to remember, that Fujiwara Toyomi is very smart, and the kind of girl, that able to pick things up quicker than others, if she tried.

But, when Toyomi begun to drive any farther with her thoughts. All the magic array or circles begun to light up, and like that. Toyomi felt her blood boiling, and even her head dizzy at the same time. However, that wasn't all, as each second pass, her blood become hotter, and her head feel more and more burden to it, almost like someone ramming something in her head.

At first, it felt strange, but ten seconds later, it begun to feel uncomfortable of her dizziness, as well the feeling of her blood cooking her insides. And then a minute passed, which turned the uncomfortableness, into painful.

If it wasn't for the gag in her mouth, Toyomi will scream in agony, as she felt like her head ripping apart, as well her body melting though her blood! And this made Toyomi's mind to span in pain and chaos, not knowing what's happening to her.

If the pain wasn't enough, blood begun to leak from her eyes and ears, like bloody tears. And because the blood was warm, when they dripped crossed her cheeks. Made Toyomi snapped of her pain for mere few seconds. Enough time, made her light blue eyes widen in fright, realising two thirds of the teenagers around her, are dead on the ground.

Toyomi then quickly before the pain cloud her mind again, turned her gaze towards her little sisters. Only to see the confusion and fear on Chika and Moeha's face. Who seems oddly fine. However, Toyomi could only give a bitter smile, as she wished she could block Moeha, as well Chika's eyes before the dead bodies around her.

Maybe because she run out of adrenaline, which she used to check on her sister, or the pain grown ever so overwhelming. The suffering of the feeling of having her mind being raped, and blood melting her body returned back to Toyomi, making her mind even more chaotic than before.

'I don't want to die…'

Toyomi begged in her mind, for the pain of her blood melting her body, her mind scattering to end. And even felt like passing out. But she knew, if she passes out, she will sleep and never wake up never again.

'Please… someone help me…'

She knew deep down, begging was useless, but still pray and begged for someone to stop this. To stop what she had to go though, because of greed of others, the pain of becoming a High Human, that she didn't even desired or wanted to be. But still forced it onto her, against her own wishes.

However, what could Toyomi? This powerless human could do? Besides begging her cruel fate of being toyed with, and only could beg and pray to be saved, even if that person were the Devil himself.

'Please… I don't want to die!'

She didn't know, because someone or something respond to her cry for help. But she felt something deep in her soul awakening, and this entity, or whatever it is, begun to move something inside her. At first, Toyomi thought it was her blood, this entity moving, but it wasn't, it was some kind of unknown power, or energy that all humans have, but none truly will knew about it, until they do feel it.

And just like that, this entity begun sucking that energy or power inside Toyomi into itself. And before Toyomi could make sense what's going on, her eyes, no, everyone that been watching her, eyes widen in shock or disbelief. When that entity that dwelled in Toyomi's soul, begun to manifest in real life. And took the form of a magical staff.

At first, for some reason, Toyomi cannot help herself, to overlap the moment, when that hooded guy, with the reddish blue sword appeared the same way, like this staff did. However, that thought soon disappeared, when Toyomi's light blue eyes glued onto the five gemstones on the head of the magical staff, that gives off ancient fantasy feeling.

Just like that, the five gemstones brighten, when it did. The magic array formation, or the magic circle itself, under Toyomi begun to crack, and scattered into thin air. And because, Toyomi didn't feel her blood isn't boiling anymore, or her mind become clam once again. Toyomi slowly closed her eyes, while she finally loses her conscious due to the torture she was forced to go through.
