Chapter 6: Enemies Turn Into Friends

Shikai than just brushes the thought off, if they were to be setting him up they would've got him already. After what seems like 20 minutes Mark comes back with sandwiches.

Mark: This is all I have for now, my bad if it doesn't appeal too well but enjoy.

They than both begin eating.

Shikai: MHM! This is good not gonna lie! where'd you learn how to cook?

Mark: Haha! glad you like it, took lessons and I'm the gangs chef as well.

Shikai: that reminds me, what will the gang do about you? I know they won't overlook this at all even if you had a valid reason.

Mark: You're right, they won't overlook this, safe to say it's a chance I will get killed if I go back. If I'm lucky however they'll send me to one of the other branches of the gang to be dealt with which is meant for torture and interrogation just in case if we get any captures.

Shikai: wait wait wait so you mean there is more to the gang than just that few of people?

Mark: Yes indeed, each branch has 20. AssaultX which is the branch I'm in, Treatment which is basically are medics, and finally the one I mentioned earlier, they usually stay at base.

Shikai: If you mind me asking is base anywhere in town?

Mark: Kinda, more on the abandoned side though, if you're planning something though don't even try.

Shikai: I'm aware of that, I still need to get stronger anyways before fighting another person.

Few minutes of silence goes by

Mark: Welp, I'm gonna head to sleep. Cya in the morning.

Shikai also decides to hit the hay too.

*The Next Morning Occurs*

"Hey Kid!" A faint voice says, "Wake Up!"

and as Shikai wakes up he realizes it's just Mark.

Mark: I woke you up early so you can get home and get dressed, so let's start walking.

Shikai than nods and heads towards the first building till their is a knock,

Shikai and Mark just stand there for a second because who the hell could be knocking on a door at 6 in the morning?

Mark: You can't sense a aura either right?

Shikai: Yeah, perhaps a normal human?

Shikai and Mark whisper to each other but than they're intruded by continuous louder knocks that than makes the unknown person yell "I know you're in here, come the fuck out before I make my own entrance."

All Shikai and Mark can do is stand there, but Mark breaks the silence by grabbing Shikai's arm and taking him to the emergency exit where they come out and starting running for dear life.

Shikai: Who the hell was that??

Mark: Most likely a member from my gang, not exactly from my gang but you remember the meeting I told you about last night? Yeah, that was to form are gang and another gang into one.

Shikai: So you're telling instead of 60 people that number might sky rocket?

Mark: Basically

Shikai: Oh hell no, I just got my powers recent and now I gotta deal with all of this?

Mark: Well you have me! :D

Shikai: What the hell will you do against most likely more than 100 people?

Mark: *Silence*

Shikai: Exactly.

Shikai and Mark finally make it to Shikai's place after 20 minutes of nonstop running and just take the time to process everything that just happened.

Mark: So what's the move?

Shikai: What do you mean what's the move?? I'm gonna take my shower and head to school!

Mark: I mean I assumed that but what will you do about the gang situation? because all I have to tell you now is that getting stronger is your best option right now.

Shikai: I'll think it over at school today, my parents won't be home until 2-3 weeks from now so if you wanna stay until I get back you can.

Mark: Alrighty.

Shikai than proceeds to take his shower and get everything done for his morning routine but as Shikai comes back in the kitchen he sees breakfast on the table.

Shikai: You made breakfast??

Mark: Yeah, can't go to school on a empty stomach now eat up.

Shikai just shrugs and goes with the flow, he than wishes Mark goodbye and heads off to school. When arriving at school he notices Kirisaki at the gate and greets her.

Shikai: Hey Kirisakiiii! How you doing?

Kirisaki: Shikai! It's nice seeing you and I'm doing great how about you?

Shikai: Same here, let's head in classes gonna start in 10.

Kirisaki: Well actually I'm waiting for someone so go on ahead.

Shikai: Oh alright, cya soon.

Shikai proceeds to walk to class and wonders who could she be waiting for that could make her almost miss the first class. He than arrives to the first class of the day now being 5 minutes before it starts and since it has a window that has a clear vision to the front of the school he looks outside of it to see Kirisaki.

Shikai: What could she be doing…

Max: Stalking Kirisaki I see.

Shikai: N- N- No What?!?!?

Shikai starts blushing looking away from the window

Max: Joking man, who's that guy talking to her though?

Shikai than quickly looks out the window to see a horrifying sight. It's the fallen angel from last night, That could make bombs with his power. He also has a very murderous vibe about him, Shikai than can't pinpoint at all what the hell is going on until he hands Kirisaki to what seems to be a lunch box and than says goodbye.

Shikai sighs and thanks god it was nothing more until he looks directly at Shikai and puts a thumbs up. This was enough to make Shikai pass out by how bad his heart was racing.

Max: SHIKAI!

that was the last thing Shikai heard until he had awoken in the nurses office to Max and Miki by his side.

Shikai: Oh lord what the hell happened?

Max: You passed out, although all of the group was here at first both Shino and Ahsui wanted to go back to class and left us with you.

Shikai: Where is Kirisaki?

Max: I have no clue, we got you to the infirmary immediately and that was before she came in.

Miki: Good lord Shikai be more careful ok? Kinda scared all of us honestly.

Shikai: Yeah my bad my bad.

That's when a doctor looking person came in and told Max and Miki it was ok for them to go back to class now and as they leave he pulls down his mask to reveal himself to be Mark.

Mark: Missed me?

Shikai: how in the-

Mark: Before you finish that sentence I was having a lot of bad suspicions about today so I ended up following you from afar and no no no I'm not a stalker so don't think that!

Shikai: If you describe it that way you kinda…are.

Mark sighs and than continues explaining

Mark: You seen him too though right? Oni?

Shikai: Yes, that's the main reason I'm in here. I don't find it right at all how he showed up, although he gave Kirisaki her lunch he directly looked in my direction and gave a thumbs up, what could that possibly mean?

Mark: No clue but his fighting style is really playful I'll let you in on that, I suggest you train for the next few days and please don't do anything careless while I'm not beside you.

Shikai: Noted I guess, but I have school in the way so how can I get a lot of hours to train?

Mark than grins and whips out a suitcase of cash

Mark: Bribery, so don't worry about school kid.

Shikai: Ah haha! Perfect.

Mark: I'm glad you agree with the plan, I'll be getting this to the principal now so I'll be back.

Shikai than just falls back asleep and Mark wakes him up after a good 20 minutes or so.

Mark: Took some decent convincing but they agreed to let you take the rest of the days off, let's get going though can't waste any time.

Shikai and Mark than leave school premises, Shikai would've said some goodbyes but he'd rather just let them know on text since he has no clue what is waiting for him in the next coming days.
