Why did I have to see Dane there.....in front of all my colleagues in the fashion industry.?!??!?

I finally got back to my office and was beginning to dive into a load of work when Sarah burst in...

"Ms Danforth.....turn on the TV. "

Her face looked so concerned. It worried me a little. What was so important that I have to turn on the TV now? And then it hit me. The photoshoot. Dane. My argument with him. Shit someone must have caught it on video. Ugh.....

"Ms Danforth.... Do you want PR up here?

"...Ye... yes I need them here now!! "

I turned on the TV and what I saw was a clear video of me and Dane at the photoshoot. I was shouting and was furious at him for showing up. And he just had a smug face on.... Damn it... why does the past come to bite you in the ass?

"Sarah, I need a meeting with Dane Prescott"

"Certainly Ms Danforth, anything else? "

"stop calling me Ms Danforth... Lizzy will do fine"

"Yes Ms Dan.... er..um... Lizzy"

"Good"

"Lizzy PR is in the conference room"

"I'll go there now and oh um tell security to not let any reporters in the building"

"Yes Lizzy"

The meeting with PR when by in a blink of an eye. And now my meeting with Dane was set.

My phone vibrated...a text message from... Dane....the heck where did he get my number

Dane: Why do you want to meet?

Me: Obviously it's about the news

Dane: oh that eh it's not bothering me

Me: well it's bothering me

Dane: fine I'll meet you in Myriad. The restaurant in 5th avenue.

Me: fine but don't think this is a date, you asshat

Dane: oh I won't 😏

Me: After this meeting, I want you to go to some club and pick up a random girl and forget all about me

Dane: why are you so mean? you weren't like this in college.

Me: You should know the reason because you caused it.
