A new day is dawning.
"I'm telling you, the dance of the wolf guardians of the dragon will sound cool," says a young voice that sounds like Akira.
Akira turns around and sees the city from his childhood.
"Memories? ... I don't remember anything like that," he says to himself. He approaches the place where he heard the voice and sees a younger version of himself and Gamble walking through the city. Taking an apple from a stand, he follows them.
"I don't know, I think the dance of the wolf dragon sounds better," says Gamble, scratching his head. Young Akira changes the subject, saying,
"Your antennas from hair on head are sticking out again." Gamble responds,
"I know. I don't fight them anymore because I don't care. It'll be my trademark in hair." The boys start laughing and soon notice the girl they met yesterday. Akira immediately approaches her while Gamble, hands in pockets, follows. As they try to greet her, they are stopped by guards. The girl notices Akira and Gamble and waves to them. Gamble casually waves back, and Akira bypasses the guard and runs to the girl.
"Why are there so many guards here?" asks Akira, but two guards grab him and pin him to the ground. Akira spits some blood. Gamble clenches his fists in his pockets but doesn't react.
"What's this? Betraying your future husband?" says a mysterious voice. A handsome young man in an elegant kimono steps out from behind the guards. Akira can barely breathe and struggles to catch his breath. Gamble uses water magic to push the guards away, soaking the young man and the girl in the process. Akira doesn't get up and lies there, breathing heavily. Gamble rushes to him and uses healing magic. The furious young man kicks Gamble in the head, knocking him down.
"Do you know who I am? If I wanted to, I could have you killed right now," the nobleman says angrily. Gamble lifts his head and just stares at the nobleman. After a moment, he smiles and says,
"One must protect their back." The nobleman attempts to kick him again, but Akira kicks the young man in the kidney. Akira broke his leg in the process, but Gamble grabs him and they escape. The nobleman orders the guards to chase them, but the girl begs him not to. Akira then sees the nobleman grab the girl by the hair and force her to kneel. Gamble sets Akira down, who points towards the young man. Gamble looks in their direction and, enraged, says,
"Is he really that much of a scumbag?" Akira heads towards them without a word, and Gamble shouts after him,
"Hey, what about your... leg?" Gamble notices that Akira is running despite his broken left leg.
"Your father was right, you're just a slut," says the nobleman, hitting the girl. The guards do not react, and the people around are terrified.
"One more time and I'll..." he doesn't finish because Akira kicks him in the face with both feet, pushing him away. Akira's eyes are burning, and looking at the nobleman with wide-open, terrifying eyes, he says,
"What kind of husband treats his wife like that?" He raises his hand to create a fireball but is stopped by Gamble, who grabs his hand and says,
"Akira, that's enough." Akira comes to his senses. He then extends his hand to the girl to help her up. She accepts Akira's help, and the nobleman creates a shuriken out of the ground, shouting,
"YOU SCOUNDREL!" He throws it at Akira, but he is protected by the royal guard.
"Enough, Leonardo," says the king. Every guard falls to their knees, and the girl makes an elegant bow, saying,
"I apologize for the disturbance, Your Highness." The king only smiles and pats her head, saying,
"I know. I know everything." Then he says to Akira,
"I must commend you and Gamble for your bravery... not everyone has the courage to help a princess out of a toxic marriage," he finishes, laughing, while the adult Akira, watching from a distance, says to himself,
"I don't understand... why do I have someone else's memories?" After these words, the world distorts for a moment, and everyone in sight looks at Akira with bloody eyes. Frightened, Akira begins to back away but hits a wall, and the ground beneath him collapses. Falling, he hits something hard. Standing on his feet, he realizes...
that he is at home. Looking around, he notices Aki sleeping on the floor. Akira picks her up and lays her on the bed, then heads to the living room. He sees Giene preparing breakfast and asks,
"What's for breakfast?" Giene, slightly surprised but smiling, says, "Bear-wolf noodles." Akira retorts jokingly,
"Cannibalism." Giene snorts with laughter just as Kaen, Kaido, and Elarina enter the house. Kaido greets their mother and, taking off their shoes, says,
"I thought that horde would never end." Kaen, laughing, responds,
"At least they named them well. Infini-bats." When they see Akira, they can't believe it and stand frozen for a moment. The silence is broken by Akira, surprised, saying,
"Kaen and Kaido are finally starting to look like teenagers... and Elarina has grown." Kaen and Kaido then rush to hug Akira.
"Hey, not so hard, my stomach still hurts," Akira says, laughing. After a while, everyone sits on the couch, and Kaen starts recounting what Akira has missed.
"Overall, our combat skills have significantly improved. We each know seven spells, and Aki taught me how to fight with a katana. Ms. Giene taught Elarina and Kaido hand-to-hand combat, and..." Kaen stops, blushing. Elarina finishes, "Kaen proposed to me," showing a ring on her finger. Akira is shocked and asks,
"Aren't you only nine?" Kaen replies,
"Eight is the age when we can propose, and we can marry after we turn fourteen." Akira seems not to understand, so Giene explains more simply,
"He can propose, but the wedding will be after they will be of age." Akira now understands. After some laughter and stories, Akira says,
"Interesting four days," and everyone bursts into laughter. Kaido says,
"You were asleep for a month and two weeks." Akira is so shocked he stares at the floor for a moment. Then Gamble comes downstairs, sleepy and yawning, and greets everyone. Heading for coffee, Gamble notices that Akira is awake.
"Finally done healing yourself?" Gamble says, sipping his coffee. "Healing?" Akira asks. Gamble explains, "When you destroyed your body with the Sage Mode, you kinda damaged your heart and fried your brain. These are organs that can only be healed by the owner."
--Akira had a small healing barrier used on his heart and brain by Holy class mage, The king knows about Akira's curse thats why he ordered The mage to do so. We can tell that its just a regeneration spell for heart and brain
Kaen adds,
"That's why you slept for a month; Gamble couldn't fully heal you." Akira holds his head and asks,
"And why is Aki's mana halved?" Gamble, shocked, replies,
"You can even sense that? ... She gave you half of her mana every day to speed up your healing. Without her, it would have taken six months." Aki comes down from upstairs and asks,
"Is breakfast ready?" Rubbing her eyes, she looks at the gathering in the living room and, upon seeing Akira awake, she is shocked. Hugging him, she starts scolding him while everyone laughs.
After thirty minutes, Gamble remembers something. He takes a letter from a drawer and hands it to Akira.
"An old man came by and told me to give this to you." Akira opens the letter, but there's nothing on it.
"Some kind of joke or what?" Gamble asks, shrugging. Suddenly, there's a knock at the door. Giene opens it, and the royal guard is there.
"I wish to speak with Mr. Izumi and Mr. Garrett," says the messenger, and Giene calls the boys. The messenger hands them a scroll.
"You are invited to the 20th birthday of the third princess of the Drascels family." He hands over the scroll, adding,
"Students or family members are also welcome," and then leaves. Kaido asks,
"What's going on?"
"We're going to a party," Akira says. Gamble thinks for a moment and asks,
"The king has more daughters?" Akira thinks for a moment and shrugs. Gamble opens the scroll, which has the date, place of the birthday, and a certificate confirming the honorable invitation.
"In a month?" he says to himself, then closes the scroll and says to everyone,
"Okay, let's decide who's going with us; raise your hand." Aki, Kaido, Kaen, and Elarina raise their hands.
"What about you, Giene?" Akira asks. Giene smiles and says,
"We will have guests staying here for a longer time, so I'll stay." Akira looks at Gamble, expecting an explanation, and Gamble responds,
"Your mother and uncle are coming."
"What?! When?" asks a surprised Akira, just as there's another knock at the door. Giene loudly says to come in. It turns out they have just arrived.
"Ahh, finally here," says Kaede. Soon, their uncle enters with bags and an anvil.
"I thought it was a metaphor when you said you'd bring an anvil," Gamble says to Ben.
"A true blacksmith uses real tools... not cheap junk," Ben replies, setting everything in the corner and stretching. Akira thinks for a moment and asks,
"Don't tell me..." but doesn't finish as he hears his sister's voice.
"You said you'd take me once I learned a spell," says Hana, entering the house. Dressed similarly to Akira, her outfit is white with red flowers. Natsuki, who has cut her hair, follows her. Akira, terrified, asks,
"Y-you didn't..." Kaede quickly reassures him, and Hana adds,
"Relax, I prefer boys, just like Natsuki." Akira sighs with relief and says,
"So you want me to teach you." Hana responds,
"That's exactly what we want." Akira thinks for a moment and says,
"Alright then, Hana, Natsuki, Kaido, Elarina, and Kaen against me," pointing his thumb at himself. Everyone accepts the challenge, and after unpacking, Akira puts on his clothes but can't find his belt.
"Oh, forget it, it's too hot for that," he says to himself and leaves the room. He then asks Gamble,
"Isn't it better to start moving?" Gamble, finishing his tea, says,
"I was thinking about it, and we'll leave the day after tomorrow."
"Is that why you called my mother?" Gamble nods, and they head to the meadow where the kids are warming up, while Ben, Kaede, and Giene sit in the shade to watch. Aki and Gamble join them, and soon everyone stands opposite Akira, who realizes that despite his power, he slept too long to fight properly.
"So we go at my current full capacity," Gamble smiles and mutters to himself,
"So, what will you do in this situation, Akira..."
--Akira's body has been weakened and slowed by the lack of physical activity. Akira will have problems with reaction time and using spells, but not much since he has learned to fight with a curse. So let's begin the demonstration of young Hana Izumi's skills.--
