Chapter 2 : the unknown person

Those days when Edward became a knight were unforgettable, but what he didn't know was why he was born into this world and who that man was. He was told that he would be reborn after killing that dragon. Edward was with Sir Michael's soldiers, and after killing the dragon, they all died in a suicide attack. The first to take the blow was Sir Michael, and what surprised Edward was that before dying and killing everyone, Sir Michael made sure that the blow would not affect the kingdom.

After that, Edward continued to think about his past until he heard the sound of the door opening. A beautiful woman entered, her hair completely black and flowing over her shoulders, with black eyes and smooth, delicate skin. She was accompanied by a man with silver hair tied back and blue eyes. The woman began speaking to him, saying, "Michael, I told you to listen to Derek and not join that company. Now, I don't know if we can help you if you are mistreated by them. The person behind that company is powerful, and after the incident that happened five years ago when that company was established, they became extraordinarily strong. They taught all the hunters the basic principles and how to use magic, and even now no one knows how they know."

Michael replied calmly, "Clara, I know you and Derek are worried, but don't be afraid. I know what I'm doing, and I didn't sign up there for no reason. Right now, being there will make it easier for you to get improved weapons from them, and also, they won't refuse to tell the world everything. And you, in the end, with your team still studying the gates, have only managed to learn where the gate opens. This is also with the help of that company, and now I'm working with them and have shares in the company, and they won't do anything to me."

Edward was watching the two as they approached him and thought to himself, "They are talking again about that company. What they know about that company is the same as how magic worked in my previous world, but the difference here is that they use something called physics. And as bad luck would have it, after I was born five years ago, this incident happened and invaders from another world came through the gates. Also, a system appeared before me two days before the invasion. From what I understood about this system, it would only show my status, but I can't train to become stronger in front of my parents to become stronger. And since my mother died in this world, and my uncle Michael and my father Derek have taken care of me. I got everything I needed, but because of work, my father isn't home for long periods, and my uncle who was taking care of me now has work and won't be home to accompany me. This will give me time to understand how the system works and become stronger."

While Edward was thinking, Clara picked him up and said, "You poor child, during the time your uncle and father are working, you will stay with me." Michael spoke to them, saying, "Edward, don't disturb her. She will take you to her work center. If you need anything, just tell her." Then Clara took her bag containing Edward and left the house, heading to her laboratory.

As she drove, an explosion happened nearby, and all the alarms went off. A gate opened in the middle of the road, and monsters came out of it. Clara stopped and tried to escape from the gate, thinking to herself, "Damn it! If I were alone, I could escape, but I can't leave Edward behind." As she fled, the monsters killed everyone nearby and chased her car until one of the monsters attacked the car and destroyed the wheels.

Clara seized the opportunity, grabbed Edward, pulled out weapons from her bag, and started shooting while running at full speed. Meanwhile, Edward wondered if he could use magic. As he pondered, Clara stopped running, and the monsters stopped chasing them, as she saw the person standing in the sky. When Edward saw the person, his hair stood on end, and he felt danger, realizing that no matter what he did, that person could kill him with a thought.

Meanwhile, the person raised his right hand and made a few gestures, and suddenly all the monsters that came out of the gate were pulled back in. Any monster that struggled was destroyed instantly. While watching this, Clara whispered a few words, saying, "The unknown has appeared again." She remembered what the unknown had said in his last appearance, that he would not appear again unless the city was in great danger. She was puzzled and wanted to know how that person managed to close the gates. Everyone had tried to imitate him after the gates opened and no one succeeded, even he himself said that only one person could imitate him at the moment, and that person didn't know. This unknown has a strange ability that allows everyone to see him differently, but the only common thing among all is his pure golden eye color. No one knows what his eye color means. Some people said that this color is special and that he came from another world after the gate opened, and theories united that the Hunter Association and the company affiliated with it, which surpassed the association's authority and which Michael works for, learned everything the unknown knows.

What is his goal? Why does he hide his identity? With his power, no one could cause him trouble, but this is all a mystery.

Clara went to her laboratory after filing a complaint that her car was destroyed in the accident. She placed Edward in a chair and started her work. Meanwhile, Edward watched the lab and saw a crystal ball in the corner, feeling that he should reach it. He felt something calling him to go. He stood up and went towards the ball, and as he approached it, before touching it, Clara stopped him, saying, "Dear Edward, you should not touch this ball yet, it is examined after we take it out of one of the dungeons." Despite her warning, Edward touched the ball. It lit up with two colors: white and black. Clara watched in amazement, then pulled Edward's hand away, and the colors disappeared. When she touched it herself, the ball lit up blue.

Watching the ball, an idea came to Clara, and she said, "Maybe this strange ball is for testing elements, as the blue color symbolizes water, and I control this element. And Edward's colors were white and black. Does this mean he controls light and darkness?" She thought as she looked at Edward and examined him, noticing his hair color which was black with white streaks, and she remembered that Michael had previously told her that his element was light, which is why his hair color was silver. They were among the few who could control their elements before the invasion began two years ago. Most people started to feel their elements at different times.

Elsewhere, at the same time, two people were talking in an office. One said, "That unknown has appeared again. What will we do to attract him to join us? A person as powerful as him could do a lot. I don't know why he hides and what his goal is." The other replied, "Don't worry. Thanks to my ability, I can read a little of the future, and from the future I saw, the unknown will disappear after ten years from now, and he won't appear until the battle between the two camps is nearing its end, and he will be on our side. That's what I saw. If he wants to come out, he can. At least he is not an enemy, otherwise he would have wiped us out a long time ago."
