Moon's explanation

Lucien have looked at dea for a while and sighed

" yeah, I had it since the surprise portal incident" he replied nonchalantly.

he slowly climbed on his bike and dea followed suite.

"why didn't you tell me"

dea asked, her voice laced with a tinge of sorrowful

"cause you never asked"

Lucien replied

"enough talking about my new affinity. it makes me very uncomfortable"

he added before dea could question him further.

they duo reach home after some minutes of driving. the Moon was fully out when they arrived and was gracefully illuminating the sky

Lucien went to his normal spot and laid down he calmly gazed at the sky.

the Moon was light blue and was surrounded by a blue hue.

it was almost spherical. if not for his enhanced eyesight he would have thought that it was full moon already.

"Brother, sometimes I wonder if you are gazing at the stars or actually or at the moon?. the moon is looking quite beautiful today" dea said. she sat beside sat beside Lucien and joined him.

Lucien kept quiet. he didn't admit it nor rejected. his sister sometimes joined him to stay out and moon bathe.

Lucien remembered about the system saying something about asking for moon's explanation five days before the moon.

"how can I forget something like that!"

Lucien mumbled.

"system please explain the blue moon"

The Blue Moon, also known as the serene Moon is a constant full moon that appears every two years.

on the night of the blue moon all moon creatures, especially the werewolves would become abnormally calm and would usually laze around, basking under the heavenly light of the full moon, they would let go and wouldn't hunt marked preys.

moon creatures are forbidden to kill on the night of the blue moon.

the blue moon blesses moon worshipers with temporal vitality.

the system's explanation was very clear and detailed.

"guess I'm lucky to have my first shift on this full moon. I've read novels where newly turned werewolves shift on the night of the blood Moon and go beserk because of the Moon effects, it was a very common cliche".

"sis I will not be around tomorrow night"

dea gradually frowned on hearing Lucien "where would you be stay?"she asked

"at a friend's house. he's teaching me some stuffs"Lucien replied

when lucien mentioned 'a friend ' dea looked at him weirdly

"you have a friend!"

she blurted out and immediately covered her mouth after realizing her mistake.

Lucien scoffed on hearing his sister.

" of course I do "

"I won't be taking you back home. I will be going to his place immediately after school" he added the hard part.

dea scowled on hearing him.

" sis,I will make it up to you. tell me your type of weapon and I will buy a good one for you" Lucien added immediately before his sister could erupt.

his was quite a beauty, but she gets scary when she's angry.

" I'm an archer. forget about buying the arrow pack and purchase only the bow. I can create ice arrows with freezing effects"

dea replied. her scowled gradually vanished.

inside a well spacious room, commander gordon was sitting on a chair, opposite him was a pink haired girl. the same girl that lucien had saved from the goblin King in the goblin settlement. ling was lazily lying on a sofa that was some meters beside them.

"come on Lora, tell me what happened in the settlement. every captive said it was you that was attending to the goblin King. you must have seen and heard everything"

gordon asked, his gruffy voice was abnormally low, soothing and persuasive, like he was pleading to the girl.

"I've told you already, the creature that saved us was a werewolf, at least that's what the goblins called him and I couldn't see his face because he was putting on a mask that I couldn't see through"

Lola replied coldly

"Lora, that's not possible..."

gordon bemoaned, no matter how he thought of this, it was just not possible and his sanity was at the verge of breaking. every since the time his grand father was a section commander, there had been nothing like this.

"Lora dear, don't be angry at the commander, we were planning to send D grade holders to search for you when the duke told us that his daughter had not yet returned from the outer Forest but the werewolf beat us to it" Ling added softly without turning to the duo, he was Lazily stretching on the sofa.
