A heart to heart conversation

By the time Rumeysa was done praying and setting the young children in bed, it was already 10pm. She went in search of Muntaha who had appeared flustered half of the time today.

Luckily she knew every part of the orphanage and every short cut. She found him sitting at her favorite spot

gazing at the stars in the sky. Without uttering any word, she silently joined him.

Muntaha felt her presence the moment she came but he continued gazing at the sky. They sat together enjoying the comfortable silence that was brought by the moment they shared.

"Would you like it if I became a Muslim again?" This was an abrupt and out of the blue question. Rumeysa's eyes were the first part of her body that reacted to his question.

Muntaha looked at the eyes that reflected her happiness at the very thought of him being a Muslim. His eyes then moved to her lips that have now parted to form a sincere warm smile. “Of course."
